Pet care experience
Ever since I could remember I could form thoughts, there has been multiple pets in the household. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, fish, etc! I come from a family that admires animals and always made a point to have a fur friend around. With this came a lot of care and compassion. After moving from my parents home to my own, the first thing on my mind was it wasn’t home until I had my own pet. I’ve held true to this with my wife as we now have three babies of our own. Two dogs, Abyss and Leo and our ferret, Oswald. We adopted Leo our Chihuahua at the age of 5 and he came with a lot of separation anxiety and trauma. Today he has a load of personality and loved daily. Abyss is a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix and today she is a year and a half old and still in 100% puppy mode. Her high energy and constant training around the clock when adopting her at 2 months has definitely given me the most patience I could get. Oswald our ferret is actually the nuttiest guy around haha ! Altogether, I can say I have about 15 years of experience with animals on a daily basis. I’m rooted in routine, so it has made me flow very well with all types of animals. I have been able to gain experience with pets of all types with my own experience with my own and others in training and routine :)

I’ll start with this: She is the best! I cannot even begin to put into words how comfortable Alyssa made my wife and I feel while she was watching our boy (4YO dog). From the time we left Thursday morning until we got back on Sunday afternoon, she was exceptional. Never missed on one of her promised, scheduled check-in messages to let us know how he was doing. She kept us informed on everything every step of the way, and she sent great pictures all weekend which we loved. The peace of mind my wife and I had during our entire trip was unparalleled. We cannot thank Alyssa enough! We would recommend her to anyone, and we most certainly will be utilizing her services again!!
As always, Alyssa provides a great all around in house dog sitting experience making it really easy to enjoy some time away while knowing your pup is in good hands back home. She’s very communicative with daily check ins and pictures and I know my pup loves when she is here!
Our dog LOVES Alyssa and gets so happy every time she comes over! Alyssa sends daily updates and pictures and is overall very communicative which I really appreciate. Alyssa leaves our house just as we left it every time and takes such good care of our baby. Thank you!!

Having experience with my own pets, I am able to notice behaviors quickly. I truly will care for your pups as if they were my own and make sure that they are comfortable in their environment. I provide updates and pictures consistently throughout the day to provide reassurance about your pet’s care. Prior to booking, for all clients I require a meet & greet inside your home to properly get acquainted with your pet. This is always at no extra cost :)

Edit for winter: my rates will be higher per night and drop in! Winter is way more labor intensive and I take public transit. I do not book outside of Philadelphia currently. Besides that, let me know if your pet has any quirks and silly things they do . I have experience with all types of dogs, so I would just want to know about specific mannerisms :) If you have a dog that is extremely powerful to control, I would not recommend booking with me as I am 5’ tall and not as strong as others!
A typical day
I typically prefer to spend time with animals as I love the presence of them. With my own animals, I train them as if they’re members of the home and talk to them to be fully engaged with them. I enjoy going on walks with my dogs and taking them out to see the curiosities of the world! I love to do that with my clients’ babies as well.

I work from home on my own schedule and on my own time as a freelance artist. I’m always home and can change my schedule if need be for any fur friend with my scheduling flexibility.
