Pets are my passion and after working with pets for the last 10 years in different fields, I've come to realize that petsitting is where I am the happiest! Once upon a time, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, once I started working at a clinic and got a taste of the field, I found that I wasn't actually interested in pursuing that after all. I then went on to work at an animal shelter, then a small daycare/boarding facility, back to the shelter, and then on to another daycare/boarding facility. I found that working with the dogs at the boarding facility filled my heart more than in the other places I have worked. I have then decided to pursue a career working with pets and would like to open my own boarding facility. I have completed the Fear Free Shelter training while I worked for the shelter and have earned a certificate of completion for that. I am currently working full time as a vet assistant at a local veterinary clinic and am learning new skills every day! I hope to one day take the skills I learn and move on to open my own business!
