Pet care experience
Ever since I was a child, animals interested me. I grew up with a mutt that our family got to love for 15 years! We then rescued a Yorkie and after her, got our first puppy. Sprinkled throughout that time, I had rabbits, guinea pigs, and many fish. By now I have pet sat for half a dozen different dogs. I’m simply doing this because pets bring me joy!

We have known Alyssa for years, and I can say that she is a TRUE dog lover! We have trusted her to care for our beloved Shih Tzu multiple times when we have gone on vacation and been able to rest and relax knowing that she was caring for him as one of her own. Speaking of one of her own, we have had the pleasure of witnessing Alyssa lovingly care for her dogs, including an older one that she and her husband adopted from a shelter. She is a responsible, compassionate, and proactive pet owner and would be an excellent choice for anyone looking for someone to assist with the care of their precious pet(s).
Alyssa has dog sat for my dog multiple times and always does a great job! She is so caring for my dog and always ensures to ask and know my dog’s schedule and needs. If she is ever unsure about anything, Alyssa always contacts me to ensure my dog receives the care she needs. Before Alyssa started watching my dog, I always dreaded going on trips because I knew it would be difficult to find someone I trusted to watch my dog. Now that I know I can depend on Alyssa to care for my dog, I have peace of mind going on trips because I know my pet is in good hands.
Alyssa dog sat for me on a regular basis, as well as for my neighbors, for a long time & until she moved. She is very responsible in showing up & caring for my dog. She is detail oriented in making sure my dog is cared for in the way I requested & truly enjoys playing with my dog as well. My neighbors have also expressed being happy with her services & how much they liked her.

Notify me if your pet has any special needs or behavioral quirks I should be aware of. If your dog weighs more than 65 lb and pulls a lot on walks, we’ll definitely need a meet and greet to make sure I’m physically able to handle them. For the safety of the dog, myself, and those around, I will let you know if I am uncomfortable walking your pet.
A typical day
Walks are always so much fun for the dogs I care for! They get so many smells in and getting to be outside simply lifts ones spirit- even a pup. The dog park is a great place to enjoy some off leash time and socialization for the more adventurous dog. Not all dogs love walks though so some indoor activities I often do include a light round of fetch, tug of war, and hide and seek for treats! If all else doesn’t peek a pups interest, snuggles and scratches usually do the trick.
