Work at Home Full-Time; dog lovers!

Pet care experience

**Please read the below important notes before sending us a booking request** *Important Notes*: **Before we agree to care for a dog, we require a meet & greet in our home so we can evaluate if you and your dog are a good fit and vice versa. 48 hours notice for meet & greet request required. **We require your dog(s) to be okay with other dogs as we do take up to 2, sometimes 3, dogs for overnight boarding. Exceptions can be made to have your dog(s) be the only dog(s) in our care for an added daily surcharge. **We will NOT take vocal dogs. We live in a 6-unit condo building and like to be considerate of our neighbors and respect their ears. **We will NOT take dogs who are in heat or display or are known to display "humping" behavior as this disrupts the experience for the other dogs in our care. Exceptions can be made to have your dog(s) be the only dog(s) in our care for an added daily surcharge. **We will NOT take dogs who are not neutered or spayed. Exceptions can be made to have your dog(s) be the only dog(s) in our care for an added daily surcharge. Check out my Instagram "lyseylynn" for additional pictures of the pups we sit regularly! -Lysey and Robbie Myers

What can I say? She and Robby are both givers of love and as evidenced by the return stays, you can deduce we think them to be SPLENDIFERIANCE

I'm so pleased with my dog's stay with Alyssa and Robbie! They cared for her like their own, were very responsive to questions and giving updates. Alyssa took lots of pictures, too and I could see how happy my dog was there. My dog stayed over the 4th of July with, of course, lots of fireworks going off. Alyssa and Robbie took extra care to make sure she was comfortable, when she retreated to the bathroom to hide, they brought her a bed to make her comfortable and sat with her - so appreciated. I am very happy for the meet and greet that they require - glad it was as important to them as it was to me to have that initial meeting. I think the ultimate test ( that Alyssa and Robbie passed with flying colors!) is that when I came to pick her up, she was thrilled to see me, but very happy to remain at their house while we went over her stay! She wasn't trying to rush out the door, but instead was very happy, relaxed and playful and comfortable there. When I've had her stay at doggy daycare, she can not wait to leave - not here! I also appreciated how many thorough questions Alyssa had on her Rover page. She and Robbie really want to know your dog, their likes/dislikes/quirks, etc. They truly treat your dog as the living, breathing beloved family member that you treat them as, which make entrusting their care to them that much more comforting. I will gladly use Alyssa and Robbie again and recommend them to anyone else seeking excellent care for their own dog.

If I could provide more stars, I would. Constant photos were sent to me throughout my weekend trip with updates every few hours. Would highly recommend Alyssa and her husband Robbie to anyone in need of a dog sitter. These two know dogs and will take great care of your fur baby. I will be using them again in the future.

Alyssa and Robbie were awesome. Very communicative, and I definitely felt like Frankie was well cared for. I would gladly have them watch my little guy again.

We are located in 60642 in West Town, just outside the West Loop! Our home is two floors and 1,900 square feet so we have plenty of room for your fur-children to play and relax! Love playing fetch and going on runs with dogs, but also working a dog's mind by practicing obedience drills and games that require smarts. Exercise, Discipline, Affection! We work hard and play harder in our home so you can expect to get back a tuckered out, happy and relaxed pup when his/her stay is over. Trained in e-collar, clicker, positive reinforcement, alpha dog and respect training. We will follow whatever behavior policies you have set in your home for your dog--the transition will be seamless! We grew up with breeds of all sizes, mainly labradors and pitbulls and bully breeds.

Information Alyssa M. would like to know about your pet

The more we know about your dog, the better we can enhance their stay! We love to make our home their home away from home and the below can help us make that happen (even better if you update your dog's profile and/or primary care instructions with the below!). -Loving. How does your dog like to receive affection? Where does your dog like to be pet? Any places that cause sensitivity or reactivity? -Health. Is your dog in need of daily medication? How often? Dosage? Vet information? Should anything happen while you're away, we like to give you the peace of mind that we will take your dog to your vet where your dog's health history is known and on file. -Language. What basic commands does your dog know? Sit? Stay? Down? Heel? No? Leave it? Fetch? -Feeding behaviors. Does your dog lose their appetite when away from home? How much food does your dog eat at a time? Feeding times? Once a day or multiple times a day? -Walking behaviors. Is your dog aggressive towards dogs and/or humans on leash? Off leash? Is your dog off-leash trained/allowed? Any particular quirks or reactivity we should know about to make our walk enjoyable and comfortable for your dogs? -Potty behavior. How many times does your dog poop/pee a day? Does your dog have a command to "potty"? Does your dog hold going potty if the weather is crummy? Does your dog go before, during or after walks typically? Does your dog have marking behaviors or accidents at home? -Relaxing. How does your dog like to wind down? Does your dog have a favorite blanket or toy you can bring to remind them of home? Is your dog allowed on furniture? Does your dog prefer lounging on a pad or dog bed? -Playing. How does your dog like to play? Tug o war? Chase? Fetch? -Training. Any behaviors you're currently working on you'd like us to reinforce or work on with your dog? Any current struggles or "naughty" behaviors we should be aware of? How do you want us to redirect or handle these?

A typical day

We live right by Eckhart Park and Bickerdike Square Park and love going on longs walks and runs, weather permitting! We also loving going to the Montrose dog beach to let your dog(s) run around and play with other pups off leash (if off-leash or recall trained and with your permission of course!). Lysey and Robbie are working professionals with a standard 9-5PM working schedule, but Robbie works from home! When your dogs board with us, they will take 3-4 walks daily--one longer walk in the early morning, a 2-3 mile walk/run in the evening and a short nighttime walk--depending on their exercise needs. We love both on-leash and off-leash activities such as fetch, hide and seek, play tug-of-war and chasing games. We also have a couple of dog mind teaser games/puzzles that are always fun!
