I’ve always had a love for dogs. I got my first pet at the age of 16. I was asking for God to bring someone or something to come into my life because I needed a source of happiness. I came home from practice one night and my mom was holding my first pet “Luna” in her hands. I picked her up and started crying because I was just so shocked that my prayers were answered and that I was finally going to have a new best friend. She indeed became my best friend. She was SO spoiled. Baths every other week, new toys to play with everyday, as many walks as she wanted and most importantly cared with the most love from me and my mom. At the age of 3, she got diagnosed with Encephalitis in her brain which caused her to go blind. We did everything we possibly could do to keep her alive and well. Although it was challenging, we did it all. Gave her all her medications, took her out frequently, played with her as much as she could, and loved on her. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our spoiled baby, but at least I know now she is running around and feeling pain free. ❤️ I feel that now since I have experienced this with my own dog, the only right thing to do next would give back to dogs who need care. No matter what kind of care that is, I am here to give back ❤️
