Reading all of Alyssa’s wonderful reviews, I am sad to say I did not have the same great experience. I would have been thrilled to write a great review and even tipped Alyssa had her service been satisfactory, even. I found her to be rude, unprofessional, irresponsible, and disappointing and would not recommend her or use her services again in any capacity. Alyssa seemed happy to have sat for me and did not express any worry or concern with her visits until I returned home and raised questions about her service. She then decided to mention she was uncomfortable due to seeing a vaporizer device, assuming it was for illegal purposes, and later accused me multiple times of being an illegal drug user (which I’m not…). She also went on to tell me that: “You contacted me on <date redacted>, one week prior to you leaving town. In the world of Rover/pet sitting, this is extremely last minute, especially for the holidays. I was already booked with several jobs (I am usually booked out for the holidays over 6 months in advance), I took your request as an act of kindness because you said you were flexible.” (I had three (3) other sitters lined up but chose to give her my business as she responded first. I also asked her twice during her stay if I needed to get an alternative, but Alyssa assured she could cover.) I hired Alyssa to drop-in at 8a and 6p for 30-min over 7 days to watch our three cats. I had mentioned I would be flexible with the time of day and length of stay due to the holidays. She contacted me the first day to say she was unable to make the first visit due to a medical emergency but could provide a substitute for the first, and subsequent six (6), visits. The substitute did a great job, and I have no complaints. The remaining nine (9) visits were covered by Alyssa and I was less than impressed. After returning home, I reviewed camera footage (that she was aware of) and discovered the following of her nine visits: -An unauthorized person was brought into our home without our knowledge or consent. -Only one unprompted update was provided the entire stay. -Visits were on average 3.2 hours after the requested times (latest was 11pm, 5 hours later). -Average time of each visit was 11.5 minutes (shortest was 4 minutes). -No evidence disproving this was ever shown to me, however she claims each visit was at least 20 minutes, which I know to be a blatant lie. -Litter boxes were not emptied on each visit and we came home to cat pee on the floor. -No explanations or sympathies were ever given for not doing everything requested or for the result of not doing so. There are other comments and other assumptions I could make about what was/was not done, but nothing I have sound evidence of. I only know what I saw and would not want another pet owner or their pets to have this type of experience.

Alyssa was fantastic! I will definitely book again and highly recommend her. She was very professional, caring, and communicative. My dog was well looked after and taken care of while I was gone and at super short notice. Thanks Alyssa!
