Hi! Last year my 3 year old pup Cora accompanied me on a 6-month, 1800 mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. That experience gave me so much time to focus on how to best meet her needs, including socialization, recall, and the obedience needed to stay safe and calm in new situations. Now I am back and I would love to spend some quality time with yours too! - I enjoy taking care of cats as well, which I have had many of throughout my life. More recently I have some done newborn kitten fostering, and support my teenager daughter’s grassroots TNR program.

Alyssa did a great job checking up on my kittens and making sure they were okay during my time gone. She was very communicative before and during the whole process.
Alyssa was amazing. She really went above and beyond to take care of my dogs and my home. She is an excellent communicator and very responsible.
Rude and attacking of my character after leaving my back door open when I was out of town. She needed me to find another dog sitter for 2 days because of her personal dog issues. I did, but still needed her to follow through with that nights drop in. She then left my back door unlocked and the storm must have blown it open for the night. It was found by the next dog sitter and my dog hiding and terrified. Instead of being professional about it, she attacked my religion and character in repeated texts while blaming me fir not caring more about her personal dog.

I tend to have an easy time gaining the trust of my new furry playmates, especially when I bring treats, but I am also careful to follow all dietary needs and any other requests from the owner. I know how important it is to be able to trust that your sitter will take care of your pet with kindness and respect. :)

Let me know if your dog has any allergies (I often come with a pouch of tiny soft training treats to make new friends.) It’s also helpful for me to know what to expect regarding how they do on a leash or when passing near other dogs or people while on walks.
A typical day
I enjoy doing all the typical things dogs love, walks of course, but especially fetch because have a Nerf tennis ball launcher! In addition, I’m willing to spend part of the session doing some basic training or reinforcing of skills like loose-leash walking, sit, stay, place, recall, etc. Let me know if this is something you are interested in.
