Pet care experience
I grew up with a variety of pets and am fascinated by animals. I have an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd, named Reux, who goes everywhere with me: the park, the trails, coffee shops. He's been socialized since the time he was a puppy and plays well with others. I love him like he's my baby, and I would love to care for your pet (and help my little guy expend some energy!) while you're away, too!

Alyssa (& Reux!) hung out with my 15 week old puppy this weekend while I was at work. She took the time to come by beforehand to see our set-up and let the pups meet, and listened to aaall my semi-overbearing instructions/information ? On the day-of, she took the sweetest pics of playtime and left detailed reportbacks of each of the drop-ins. Definitely would recommend and book again!
Alyssa was awesome!!! She sent updates/pictures when she took care of my dog Lady, made her very happy! Will definitely use her again next time I need a dog sitter! ???

I live in a house with a decent sized yard. It is not fenced, but fortunately I’m located in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood. As far as walking and/or house-sitting, I love to be outdoors and am happy to take your pup along for hikes or to the dog park. If your fur•babe prefers more traditional solo walks, that is great too!

I’m happy to accommodate any special physical or social needs your pup may have. I’ve cared for pets of all shapes and sizes and know that each animal has a different personality with a different set of needs, and I want to make sure yours has a safe and happy time while in my care.
A typical day
I’ve raised my Aussie from the time he was a puppy and if that taught me anything it’s that mental stimulation is just as important for our pets as physical exercise. I’m happy to take your pup on walks in new places to allow them to take in new sights and smells. If your pup is extra active and likes to be on the trails, I live just 10 minutes from Bent Creek and would love to take them on a hike or mountain biking with me! (Pending your consent, of course!)

My job is very flexible and allows me to work from home. I’m very active and make sure to take a lot of breaks to get outside with the dogs + allow us all to stretch our legs and get some fresh air.
