I do like to know a bit about your pet before sitting them- most importantly, I see a huge benefit to a meet and greet prior to a visit. The dog will be able to meet my two dogs outside of my home, in neutral territory, to see if they all feel safe. Then, I love to welcome the pet into my home to explore while meeting with the pet owners. During that time, I like to put my two small dogs in another space to give your dog some time to check everything out. I also like to know of any allergies, a food and walking schedule and other small details (ex: where does your dog like to sleep?). All of that information is essential to making a smooth transition for your pet!

Living close to the Wethersfield Park, I love taking pets to the dog park if that is their normal routine, or on a walk on the trail. I also have safe roads around my home with sidewalks to ensure consistent walks. I also enjoy giving your pet play time inside and outside of my home, including scavenger hunts and hide-and-seek activities. My two small dogs love playing as well, when pet owners allow them to come into contact! I make sure that this is safe by always monitoring the pets in their time together and using the meet and greet to ensure that everyone gets along!
