Pet care experience
I am a grad student at GMU in Fairfax, but live in DC because after 6 years here, it really feels like home. I like spending my free time hanging out at my place in DC and fostering puppies with my boyfriend :) I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I am always available for pup-sitting! I'm very active and will happily take your pup for a long hike or jog, or just snuggle on the couch if that's more his/her speed :) A little background about me -- I graduated from Harvard in 2011 and have been living and working in Washington, DC since graduation. When not hanging with puppers, I am teaching literature and studying for my Master's of Fine Arts in Poetry at George Mason University in Northern Virginia. :)

Alyssa does a wonderful job taking care of Luna! She takes her on nice long walks makes sure she gets to run around off leash and really get her energy out. She is a warm and kind person who is easy to talk to and work with. I would recommend anyone to entrust their pup to her as she will take excellent care of them!
Alyssa is not only extremely responsible, she truly loves and respects animals. I feel 100% at ease when she watches our dog Ollie (and our chickens). I know that he will get a good walk or run in every day, but beyond that he will be cared for by someone who loves him. I would recommend Alyssa to any dog owner.
Thanks Alyssa for taking such wonderful care of our pets! Your kindness and loving way with our Suzy and Charlie is so special. Your attention to detail on diet, exercise and meds shows how seriously you take your dog sitting duties. On our most recent trip away from home you not only made sure our beloved pets got lots of exercise and food, but since Charlie had recently had surgery you made sure he took his meds and went the extra mile to groom him! Thanks so much! We'll be calling you again.
Alyssa is my best friend of 25 years whole years! She's my rock and my most reliable friend and adventure buddy. Not only has she been reliable for me, but I've watched her be a reliable caregiver to her entire fur family. She skied and hiked her goldens Jasper and Cecil to old age and cuddled her setter Suzie with all the love in the world. She's even loved on my own giant fluffy dogs through puppyhood teaching them how to play and swim in the Adirondack lakes. My point in this cheesy rant is that, if you've you've made it this far, you can trust Alyssa to treat your pupper with so much love and they will surely be more cardiovascularly fit when you arrive home.
