I've always been an animal lover. At 12 my first job was walking the dogs in the neighborhood. I've owned dogs and cats most of my life and am comfortable with breeds of any size. Different breeds can present different challenges. For example, my boxer has really helped me build my upper body strength because she likes to play "tug." I have always found I can work well with almost any dog. However, I will always communicate with you if I feel in my heart that I'm not the right fit for working with your dog. Transparency is very important to me, and will keep your dog and myself safe, and ensure the best possible visits with your pet. I'm excited about being able to meet your pet and hopefully build a bond. I am comfortable being flexible. Currently, my only limitations are taking my son to school and picking him up. If you have need of weekend or evening hours, reach out to me and we can determine a good schedule. When I take my dog for a walk, I allow her to relieve herself and then take time to play with her. If your dog has a favorite toy, I can play with them, even if we have to keep the leash on. A walk is more than just using the bathroom, it's fresh air, exercise, playtime and time for mental stimulation. If you are working with your dog on basic commands, I can assist you in this training as well.

Alyssa was kind, and loving toward our cat Henry. We were stressed over leaving him alone for almost a week. She kept us updated daily. Would definitely have her watch our boy again.
This was our first time booking through a service. Everything went great. The dogs loved Alyssa and we loved that we didn’t have to put our furbabies in boarding. It was a short booking, just overnight. If we travel again, we’ll definitely consider using Alyssa again.

A typical day
Mental and physical stimulation is key in keeping your four-legged friends happy. A bored dog is not a happy dog; if it’s playing fetch or playing my dog's favorite game “find” we have plenty of ways to keep your best friend entertained. If long walks, playing in a dog park or any other activity is more your dog's speed, then we can explore those options too. I have a boxer who is very good with other dogs of all sizes and would love to play with any other pets. If you want your dog to have more one-on-one attention, I understand completely and am willing to give them this time. Whatever the case may be, together can make a pet plan that’s best for you.
