I'm a full time, fully insured, pet CPR+First Aid certified, highly skilled and safety oriented dog walker/pet sitter, well versed with cats, birds, reptiles, small animals, exotics and fish. I have over 10 years of professional pet care experience along with extensive hands on knowledge in dog behavior, socialization and training. Before becoming a professional dog walker in June 2018, I managed a dog daycare at a dog training facility for 6 years. I have had a ton of opportunity as Daycare Manager to learn about dog body language, how a dog thinks, different breeds/personalities/temperaments, styles of play/interaction, how to modify behaviors, how to evaluate a dog to determine if they are ready to be around other dogs, how to work with dogs who display reactivity/undesirable/dangerous behaviors, and have had hands on experience in what to do if there is ever a medical emergency. I also assisted in training classes led by CPDT-KA instructors. Before dog daycare, I was a kennel worker an animal shelter for about a year. There I was responsible for dozens of dogs and cats alongside a few other employees. I would walk/play with dogs for their enrichment, practice training, feed dogs/cats, give medications (also subcutaneous injections), make beds, help at adoption events and many other things. Both of these amazing jobs have broadened my knowledge, experience and skills with dogs. I have also attended workshops/seminars in dog behavior/training over the years and continue to do so.
