Pet care experience
I’ve owned and cared for animals my whole life, including working at veterinarian offices for 7 years, as well as a pet store, in charge of animal care. This has given me extensive knowledge and experience administering medications, various health issues, even emergencies. The clinic I worked at the longest also saw exotics, giving me a network of close friends with specialties such as wildlife rehabilitation, cold-blooded care, small livestock, and all types of birds, especially chickens. I have a license in dog training/obedience, from Animal Behavior College. I will make sure your dog doesn’t pick up bad habits, and stays safe! I love helping in providing tips for training and behavior. I understand how daunting world of caring for animals can be, and love sharing my knowledge and answering your questions!
Reviews
Alyssa did a great job caring for my skittish cat. She was able to give him his medication even though he tends to hide.
Alyssa was wonderful with my dog and promptly let me know when she hurt her paw. She had some great tips on how to take care of the injury.
Alyssa is always an awesome sitter for us! Maizie always seems well taken care of while we are away. She leaves the place better than we left it! She even went a step beyond what we pay her for and she changed our sheets for us! She is one of our go to sitters and we’re so thankful for everything she does for our fur babies!
Awesome care for pets and home!!

I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run freely and safely. I focus a lot of my care on prevention. My own pets stay up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm medications, as well as their vaccines. All of my animals are on vitamins, including oral care and joint supplements. I pay close attention to them to ensure happy, healthy lives. I crate my dogs when I’m not home so they stay safe, plus they love their crates, and are well trained.

Information Alyssa B. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know about triggers, behavioral issues, medical issues, and vaccinations. I’ve worked at vets for over 8 years, I’m certified in dog training, and if I can help or at least know what your dogs preferences or quirks are, I know how to create a safe, secure, way environment for them when their owners are away.
A typical day
I am a certified dog trainer and I know the importance of leash training! Respect is key, so my dogs do not beg or eat human food. They are well trained so that they stay safe, and we all live comfortably together. I train using positive reinforcement. My philosophy is that of Animal Behavior College where I have a certification in training. I’d love to provide new experiences and gradually introduce dogs to new things safely and comfortably.

I’m a mother of two and I’ve decided to take a shift in my life to work on my art business more. However, I was going to miss all the wonderful pets I met in the veterinary world. I’m supplementing my art income, helping people learn more about their pets and their care. My husband works third shift, so I have focused on drop ins and walks recently.
