I absolutely love dogs! When I rescued my dog, Francis, from a local kill shelter on May 11, 2013, I suddenly morphed into this Dr. Dolittle-like character who wants to talk to all animals everywhere!! I unconsciously started uttering exciting and playful sounds when I would make eye contact with a dog before approaching it or greeting the owner....it took me by surprise. I take my dog ownership seriously (which is why I waited 3 years before getting a dog) and I love my dog so much. Francis and I have loads of fun together....we go on road trips together, we have been swimming together, we have gardened together, done our morning yoga stretches together, and we take long walks together. We are sort of a pack of two together. My roommate says she thinks Francis understands me when I talk. There are 2 dog parks within our apartment community and we both socialize there every morning and night. I promise to take every precaution that I would take with my dog, with yours. I will honor your trust in me by being conscientious of everything I do. I am a graduate student who has a roommate who can help care for my dog when I have to dog sit elsewhere. I would prefer drop-ins and dog walking opportunities so I don't have to be away from my own dog.
