Pet care experience
I have always been a dog lover. I grew up with dogs of all kinds and recently took in a 8 year old golden retriever. Apart from being in a dog owning family for over 13 years, I have also been dog sitting and house sitting for nearly 11 years. I have yet to meet a dog that I don't get along with. From the most easy-going of dogs to those more reserved with their affection, I love them all. I have experience dealing with dogs on both the more shy side (specifically a cautious chihuahua) or the highly energetic side (for example, a one year old pit bull who loved going for walks despite still learning her leash behavior). I've walked dogs of all sizes from the small to the tall, the leash trained and the less so and dealt with several types of walking leashes and dog halters. I would love the chance to take care of your precious pupper and promise to love them as much (or nearly as much) as you do!

I have never used Rover before but definitely will use it again. Alyson was punctual, the pics were great and I came home to a very happy puppy.
Alyson took great care of our dog. She sent many pictures over the week. She took him for multiple walks each day. Alyson stayed at our house and spent alot of quality time with our dog. She is very responsible and I would highly recommend her. We will certainly higher her again!

I treat pets as if they were my own and that means being diligent about safety. I am always sure to check that leashes are secure and gates closed in yards to ensure the safety of your pet. Please note; however, since I recently took in a 8 year old golden retriever, she will typically travel with me on house sitting jobs. She is up to date on her vaccines and gets along with most dogs (and cats) and could be a great opportunity to socialize your dog if they get along with other dogs. Of course, the care and safety of pets is a top priority so please reach out if you have further questions or concerns prior to booking.

I love all breeds of dogs! Most importantly, before sitting for a dog, I would love to know their degree of socialization with people or other dogs. This is simply so I can be prepared to provide the best service possible and accommodate any special needs of a specific dog when walking or playing with them. However, all dogs of all backgrounds are welcome!
A typical day
I am always happy to take dogs for walks. I especially love to take them to nearby parks and dog beaches if dogs are socialized or in the process of being socialized with other dogs. Depending on the dog and the owners request, I am happy to play fetch or tug-of-war when allowed or simply sit with/ pet or brush a dog if they are in a more relaxed mood.

Availability
I’m currently working remotely from home which allows me to spend most of the day with the pets for which I am caring. I will typically walk dogs in the morning before work and/or play fetch in the evening if weather permits.
