Right now, I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I currently work in the ICU at the U of Iowa about 24 hours a month and will soon be working an additional 8 hours a week at another hospital. I’ll also be starting nursing school in the fall, but outside of that, I’ll mainly be home and available.

A typical day
A typical day with your pet will be filled with love, fun, and attention! We can go on walks to get some energy out, followed by playtime with their favorite toys or some relaxing cuddle time if that’s more their style. I will always be sure to keep a constant eye on them and make sure their surroundings are safe while on walks. My goal is to keep them safe and happy while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I’ve always been an animal lover and have grown up surrounded by cats and dogs. Caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and simply spending time with your sweet friend. I’ve also worked at a dog daycare, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Including pups who are shy, anxious, or need a little extra patience. I’ll do my best to create a calm and comforting environment. I’m happy to stick to their routine, give extra snuggles, or just sit with them quietly if that’s what helps them feel safe. I’ll also send regular photo and text updates so you can see how they’re doing and feel reassured while you’re away.

Alysha and her husband were amazing in caring for our girl, Mayzie. We were so nervous leaving her as our spoiled girl has never been without us, but they were so reassuring and kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and notes on how she was doing. It helped us relax and enjoy our daughter’s wedding day without worrying about Mayzie. Will definitely recommend her to others and will use her again in the future. Thank you again for the amazing care you gave Mayzie (she thanks you and Ollie, too) and giving us a worry free day!
Alysha was wonderful with our puppy! She sent several pictures and videos each day and took amazing care of our girl! Our travel plans were changed at the last minute, and she was super flexible with our pick up time. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Alysha again in the future!
I left my pup with Alysha for a week and could not have better things to say about her and the care she gave my dog. I am usually a bit anxious leaving my dog with anyone but was so comfortable because I knew that she was being treated like a part of her family. I got several pictures a day and my pup seemed so happy. Would definitely board my dog with her again and recommend her to anyone!
