Hi my name is Alysa Sparks and I grew up with both parents working as Certified Veterinary Technicians, so as a child I learned a lot about providing loving care for all pets. In fact my parents and I have raised 5 dogs together whom I learn a lot of dog behaviors and body languages from. Growing up with 5 dogs (4 huskies and a min pin) has taught me how to manage many dogs of all different sizes and temperaments. I also worked at a dog kennel in Hillsboro for about a year grooming, feeding, medicating, and exercising dogs of many breeds. I then worked at a veterinary hospital as a surgery technician which taught me a lot about basic animal health and what to do in an emergency. After working at the hospital for a while I decided I needed to spend more time in school and less in work. That’s why I now hope to balance out work and school by having more flexible working hours with Rover. I am very stern with pets who need it and very loving with sensitive pets. I am truly a dog person who finds joy and beauty in every pet I meet. Let me hang out with your furry friend, and I assure you they’ll love spending time with me!
