Don't like to walk in the cold? Do you have an illness or disability that keeps you from walking your dog? Working long hours? Have kids that keep you busy? Let me help you out! I have availability for walks and drop-ins in the Westwood, Dedham, and Norwood areas. I worked in an animal shelter from 2018 to 2019 coordinating rescue efforts and multi-state dog transports as transfer manager. I am responsible for saving over 1100 doggie lives by making sure they got adopted and received the medical care they needed! I spent my days managing their veterinary records, walking them, and playing with them to get to know their personalities. I love dogs and they love me :) I have cared for and been best friends with dogs since I was a little girl. I have been guardian to many specialized breeds, including Siberian Husky (named Arrow & Siku), Chow Chow (Willy), St. Bernard-short haired (Faith), and English Mastiff (Bella & Ruger). I have also cared for mutts (Sasha). I don't discriminate against any breed! My current dog is a golden retriever named Clover. I cherish my pets like they're family members and dear friends; I can't wait to be friends with and care for your animals. I love all animals of all types, and am willing to care for any other critters on drop-in visits if needed. I have experience with cats, lizards (specifically bearded dragons and geckos), chickens, bunnies, you name it!

Alysa is fantastic! Prompt reply to inquiries and she showed up promptly at the times suggested for drop-in's for my furballs. I was provided pictures and updates daily on their status and she cared for my dog and cat exactly as discussed. I would not hesitate to use Alysa again for my future pet sitting needs.
This was a great experience! We have always used friends or family to stay with our pups, but lately that has become difficult. We needed to find a new solution and decided to try Rover on the recommendation of some friends. We connected with Alysa, and felt immediately very comfortable to have her come stay. I’ve known Alysa for years, and one of the first and most important things I learned about her was her love for animals. She has three cats whom she adores and who adore her, a strong connection with childhood pets, and has even sponsored a pig at an animal sanctuary, and would literally roll around in the mud with him. She treats all animals with respect and kindness and would absolutely be a wonderful caregiver for any pets in her care.
Alysa H. is an excellent dog caregiver. She knows dogs extraordinarily well, and she makes sure to give each dog the individualized love and care it needs. There isn’t anyone out there better suited to keep your dog happy and loved while you’re away!

I love going for walks in all sorts of weather and cuddling on the couch while watching tv together. I also love offering puzzle games for dogs to try, and I can help your dog stay consistent with your training routine!
