I’ve always had a dog in the house while growing up and I have my own 5 year old now, Ginger; she’s spoiled because I love her, but she’s well trained. If your furbaby stays with us, we’ll have a blast.

This is my neighbor that used to walk my dog when I became wheelchair bound. I asked her to help after seeing how she took such good care of her own puppy. She’s dependable and my dog was always excited to go out with her when she came to get him. He has since passed but Alvina still stays in touch with me which is heartwarming to know i have such a caring and helpful neighbor. A blessing!
Alvina took exceptional care of my pup, handling his medication and firework fear. She checked in with me and took the best photos of our dogs playing. Would absolutely recommend!
I reached out to Alvina for an emergency when we weren’t able to bring our new 3 month old Shiba Inu with us. We noticed she also has a Shiba Inu dog and after a meet and greet phone call, she was able to fit Yoki in for boarding. Yoki clearly had fun with Alvina and her two dogs in their yard and we were updated and sent pictures during the stay which made us very comfortable. When we need to board Yoki again we will definitely choose Alvina. THANK YOU AGAIN!
Alvina takes dog boarding very seriously. She is completely professional, her home is designed for the dogs to enjoy their visit. I highly recommend Alvina to board you dog. Lucy was cared for, loved and exercised during her stay. I will board Lucy again with Alvina❤️

*Note: I can host dogs up to 50lbs.* I have one dog, and my roommate has one (husky-mix) so there will be double the fun for your pup with they visit us. There are extra dog beds all around the house to keep everyone comfy in their own space. I also have playpens and child gates if separation (I.e, while eating) is needed. My yard is fully fenced and has a gate to separate the front and back of the yard. There’s a doggy door and they are free to roam the house as they want.

REQUIRED: all bookings require phone/virtual meet and greets. This is purely to ensure I am ready to receive your doggy and they enjoy their time to the fullest. Questions I'll ask during the meet & greet: How does your dog get along with other dogs? Is your dog afraid of loud noises like motorcycles or fireworks? Does your dog respond to basic commands such as No and Stop? Does your dog tend to pull while walking? Harness, training collars? Will your dog walk in the rain? Does your dog like to play in water (kiddie pool, sprinklers)? If a bath is needed, is your dog cooperative? Any allergies? Dogs will get diarrhea when anxious - do you treat it with rice, rice water or pepto? What's your dog sleeping preferences? Does your dog have a low heat/cold tolerance?
A typical day
My day starts at 445am to jump start my fitness routine that includes a 3-5 mile walk. If you have a pup with lots of energy, I'd love to have them join my mini-hike (by foot or doggy stroller). If your pup is staying with us, they'll get to run around my fenced yard as they please during daytime. Walks can last up to 30 minutes and our favorite local destinations are the Bartasche and Bicentennial Parks. Most importantly, we'll have lots of couch time together.

Availability
I work full-time mostly from home and report to the office as needed from 7a-4p. I work close by so it’s easy to come home for walks. I’m completely free during the weekends. My day starts at 4:45am to start on my fitness journey and we all wind down around 9pm.
