I think dogs can tell when they encounter "dog people." I love all kinds of dogs and I can't understand people who don't! I grew up with a standard poodle – she was almost like a sister to me. There is very little that isn't made better by the presence of a dog. My boyfriend and I have dog sat for friends in the past, and we have had great experiences having other peoples' dogs here in the apartment. I work from home in Williamsburg mostly, with some time spent in Bed-Stuy and Manhattan. I would love to bring your dog to the dog park just a block away from my apartment, take them on a longer walk to the Williamsburg waterfront, or come to you! I would love to get to know your furry family member!
