Pet care experience
We had family dogs my entire life that I trained and cared for! Since moving out on my own I’ve rescued two pups of my own, gotten professional training with them, worked through challenging behaviors, and of coursed gained some furever friends. I’m generally available to hang out with your pups for walks, drop ins, and boarding over the weekends and after 4pm during the week. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space for your dogs to get some exercise, and will monitor them directly any time they are out of a crate.

Enigma definitely had fun staying at Althea’s. Althea send photos and videos everyday and she’s very attentive to Enigma’s needs. She looks very happy and healthy when I picked her up. She definitely will stay again at Althea’s in the future.

For boarding I will play with the dogs in the backyard, take them on walks, and feed them on the schedule you have provided. They will sleep in crates at night, as well as any time I am gone. Any time they are out of the crate I will be supervising them directly. For any drop-in visits I will of course be respectful of your home and space. I'll let your dog out for any bathroom breaks and feed them if you've asked, as well as play with and engage them for a bit!

It is important for me to know if your dog has any human or dog aggression or any leash reactivity. This is important even for walks so that I am aware of how to keep your dog safe and what situations they should avoid. I would also like to know of any injuries or allergies to make sure they get proper care!
A typical day
I will make sure your dog gets physical exercise as well as some mental exercise! We'll go for walks that include breaks at any near by parks so they can sniff all of the good scents, and I'll send you some cute pics along the way! I love to challenge my dogs to do things like climbing on rocks or doing tricks to keep them focused the whole time. When they're staying at my place for boarding, we'll spend some time in the backyard running around, play some games, and get some yummy (owner approved) snacks! For returning customers who want to do a meet & greet with my pets, we can also allow some group play time if all has gone well.

Availability
I am pretty open on the weekend for any walks, drop-ins or boarding! During the week I can do boarding as well as walks and drop-ins after about 4pm. A lot of the time I work from home, meaning I can spend quite a bit of time with your pup!
