My name is Allyson and I'm the go-to "dog auntie" for all of my friends' and family's dogs. Each dog has been a little investment for me - each one is a real friendship. I've helped train my friends and family's dogs and have made great relationships through the dog community :) I even met my best friend through our dogs! My friends often call me to share their experiences and discuss puppy problems. I have an Australian Shepherd whom I've trained very carefully and have learned a lot of great tricks along the way. I'm not an expert, but I pay close attention to expert advice, do a lot of research, and try to read my animal's needs closely. About the property: My husband and I have forested acreage in the hills of Longview with plenty of space and time to care for your animal. It has hilly areas and flat, open, grassy areas for various exercises and activities! We have basic preferences that your animal is dog-friendly, crate-trained, house trained and can come when called or when offered a treat. Cats exempt ;) Daily routine: Roam the property, play fetch in the pastures, chill inside, and crate for over-nights. I have experience with many breeds: Australian Shepherd, Labs, German Shepherd, Poodles, Labradoodle, Schnauzers, among many others.

Rafi' day with Allyson was good. She spent the entire time with him, taking him for walks, snuggling with him on her couch, etc. He even got along fine with her dog, Jupiter! I highly recommend her to anyone! I can't wait for Rafi's next stay...
Allyson is an incredible dog mom. She got her first dog, Jupiter, as a little pup and has trained her up to be an exemplary dog. I travel a lot and Allyson and Jupiter would look after my French bulldog, Billie Holiday. On her first stay, Billie was not potty trained and crating hadn't worked. I was frustrated and worried that I would never succeed. After one weekend with Allyson and Jupiter, she learned the ropes and came back to me house broken and even learning to use a bell to signal her potty needs. She became better socialized and learned tricks from Jupiter, like "spin" and the difference between "down" and "off". This wouldn't have happened without Allyson. Allyson is caring and playful while understanding pack dynamics and how to indicate that she is the alpha -- which helps a lot of dogs who sometimes feel the need to assert that dominance. If you're looking for a caring dog mom, look no further. Allyson is it.
Allyson is the only person I trust my fur babies with 100%. She is always there when needed and my boy absolutely adores her, her home, and her precious dog. Anyone who uses Allyson as a sitter or dog walker will not be disappointed!

We prefer animals that are: house-broken and have basic training, such as "down, come, no" If they can come when called, that's very helpful so we can stay together as a unit while walking the property. You can let us know if your pup needs to be leashed. Even so, we can use reward systems to work on recall during their stay, too. This builds trust, a sense of leadership, and the desire to come when called. They will have a blast, I promise! ;) Safety first: I will never take other clients while your animal is in my possession without your permission and a scheduled meet and greet. This will be only for established customers and only if or when you feel completely comfortable.
A typical day
We will walk and play around our property. For long stays, we will like to take them where we go: hiking, walking, biking, or just a jaunt around town. Our property is 1.25 acres in the hills above Longview in Columbia Heights. The entire property is fenced with separate areas for different uses: pasture, forest, a grassy space, and a long driveway for chuck-it. We will go out to for a perimeter walk every couple of hours, ending with a long game of fetch.
