Pet care experience

** If dates are marked unavailable please send me a message to see if there can be something arranged. Stays are very personalized so that there is the least amount of stress on the dogs Welcome! I am Allyson or what many know me by, Sonny, and I am currently a stay at home mom with a passion for dogs. I graduated from Clarke University with a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in business. I am currently obtaining my KPA-CPT from The Karen Pryor Academy for Certified Dog Trainers, as well as participating in Susan Garret’s Recallers Program. My training style is all positive reinforcement and I love showing dog owners how to have fun training their dog. Dogs are my world and passion, and I love helping other dog owners. Currently, I have a Lhasa Apso, Basenji Mix, Terrier Mix, and Golden Retriever. I love being on the move and meeting other dogs. You can feel confident leaving your dog with me. I know the feeling of leaving your dog, but they'll be safe with me! Enjoy your next trip without worrying about your dog!

Gryffin stayed with Sonny for the first time when our family went to Chicago for the weekend. I've always had him boarded at a vet clinic, but the one I used recently stopped offering the service. We met Sonny and Chloe (her dog) before committing to weekend. I liked knowing that she was selective about who else may be staying with Gryffin. Sonny gave updates and was excited to see Gryfin. He loves playing with other dogs and so does Chloe so they were great friends. I don't think he had time to think about missing us. I would recommend Sonny to anyone I know.

Allyson is AMAZING!! She and Jax bonded immediately!! She brought her dog Chloe out and Jax was so happy to have a playmate! As I was leaving him with her for the first time, I thought Jax would run after me and be upset that I was leaving him there. That did not happen! Actually, it was quite the opposite! Lol! He felt so comfortable and at home that he didn't even notice that I left. Allyson has a big fenced in backyard for the dogs to run. She stays outside with them when they are out. She does watch more than one dog at a time, but she knows how to slowly introduce them and get them used to each other before she puts them outside together. She has 2 big rooms gated off that are just for the dogs so she can keep them separated until they are acquainted. Jax got plenty of attention from Allyson's fiancé, Nick, her brother Jacob, and another roommate named Ben. They are all dog lovers, and all help care for the dogs. In fact, I shared with Allyson before leaving town that Jax was very skiddish around men. When I returned from my trip, Nick and Ben were playing with him, and he seemed to have gotten a lot more comfortable around men. My son who is 8, loved getting pictures, and hearing about what Jax had done that day ? in the front room there is a couch the dogs like to sit on and look out the big window. I thought it was so neat that Allyson sleeps in the same room with the dogs. Jax always stayed in his kennel whenever we left the house, so I was very nervous leaving him without his kennel because I had no idea what he would do if no one was home and he had free reign. To my delight,!she said he did fantastic without the kennel. I decided to try leaving him out of the kennel for short periods at a time. One month after his first stay with Allyson, Jax and I are thrilled that we were able to put his kennel away! He had not gotten into anything, and seems a lot calmer. I had to laugh when I went to pick Jax up after my trip. I opened the gate thinking he would see me and come running, but he was like a little kid and went to hide because he didn't want to leave? Dogs and dog sitting are not just a hobby for Allyson. She dedicates all of her time and energy all of the dogs she cares for. She is also a trainer, and is currently taking more extensive training to work with service animals. I also felt an immediate bond with Allyson, and feel like we are family. I would not leave Jax with anyone else! I am so grateful that our paths crossed! Thank you Allyson!! Lisa and Jax
