Pet care experience
I have two dogs which I am responsible for walking, feeding, playing with, and bathing. When the two were puppies I potty trained them to pee inside the house. Around 5 months old I created a schedule for them to pee outside to avoid any accidents inside the house. Typically a treat is given if they pooped outside to reinforce positive behavior. It is very important for me to clean their paws after walking so they can enjoy laying on the couch or bed without worrying about any germs accumulating!

Prior to walking I double check that the harness is not loose and I always carry a water bowl for the dogs if they get thirsty! I always check that any door leading to the backyard will be closed before I let the dogs off the leash.

A typical day
I love going to new areas to explore with the dogs I watch which is perfect for dogs that need high intensity exercises. My family and I hike with our dogs so I would love to give dogs that opportunity!

Availability
I am currently in a Doctrate’s program and have established time to walk my dog and play with him on top of having rigorous schedule. For the summer I have clinicals during the weekdays but am happily available at night during weekdays and the whole day during the weekend. Making time for my dog is a top priority as it ensures exercise time for me and my pup.
