Pet care experience
As my household's go-to dog walker, I walked my Australian Shepherd daily. I've dog-sat for family and friends before for multiple weeks, including large dogs. Much volunteering experience, including senior care FOR CAT OWNERS - I currently have 2 cats, so rest assured I'm also more than open to taking care of your fur baby.

5 out of 5 stars, as always with Allison. Thanks so much!!
I’ve had Allison come take care of my babies multiple times, and she is absolutely wonderful! I’ll always choose her if she’s free—I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Allison is always prompt and professional. Would recommend!
Extremely professional and great with dogs. It’s always so easy to communicate too!

I find respecting clients' wishes and boundaries regarding their pets to be important. Let me know what your pet's household rules are (stay off furniture, don't go upstairs, etc.). I'll also administer any necessary medication your pet may be on. Depending on the breed, I know what level of activity they'll require. Mostly, I understand that a client wishes for their pet to be happy, engaged, and looked after so they're fed and don't leave accidents around the house. I'm big on communicating with the client to know what they need from me regarding their pet(s).
Information Allison W. would like to know about your pet
I want to know the feeding schedule and the general amount of food you give to your pet(s) each feeding time. This kind of thing may seem intuitive, but I know that every pet owner is different. Let me know what medications your pet takes and when so that I can administer them if need be. Tell me what rules you have for your pet. Common rules may be "stay off furniture" "don't go upstairs/particular rooms," or (particularly for cat owners), "don't chew on wires." If you have further disciplinary actions for establishing these rules for your pet, let me know. If you're putting your dog through any kind of training (say, walking training, hunting training, socialization, etc.), let me know so I can continue it for your pet when you're absent. F.E. if you want to train your dog to stop before crossing a crosswalk and give them a treat/click as a reward, I'll comply with that. Let me know if your pet has any noteworthy phobias or reactions - f.e. if you put a Thundershirt on him when it's storming, if you have a particular calming method for any aggressive behavior, etc. For waste disposal - when house-sitting, I will assume that you dispose of waste in doggie bags for the trash can or over the fence in any backyard wetlands (if applicable). Let me know if that's not the case.
A typical day
I love taking dogs out on walks along bike paths, nature paths, and general neighborhood sidewalks. Let me know if your dog likes going to other places, f.e. a nearby dog park. I'll play fetch, frisbee, and whatever else mentally stimulates your dog. For "smarter" breeds like border collies or poodles/poodle mixes, there are special puzzle toys for dogs that they can really enjoy. If you have such toys, great - I'll use them to play with your pet. FOR CAT OWNERS: Having 2 cats myself, I know that cats require a different kind of stimulation :) Cuddles, pouncing toys, and scratch toys are always a good go-to. Otherwise, I know they like to usually be left alone. With that said, I'll keep your little one out of any mischief.

Availability
I'm a freelancer, so I have a really open schedule all week for both days and nights. If there are any occasional scheduling conflicts, f.e. a dentist appointment, I'll communicate that to you readily.
