Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Allison, and, simply put, I am a dog-lover! I grew up around dogs, living with three (my mom is also a dog lover). Now that I am off living on my own, I am unfortunately not able to have my own furry friend, but I would love to help out with others! I have volunteer experience playing with and walking various types of dogs at the Lynchburg Humane Society near my alma mater. I am comfortable with any size dog and may walk up to two dogs at one time. I have experience giving commands, using various types of leashes and harnesses, and of course giving treats! I am caring, and nurturing, and understand that your dog is a part of the family. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your furry friend!

Allison Smith is wonderful, caring young woman who I have know for over twenty years. She has always had dogs growing up and was always very responsible and loving with them. Allison is teacher of young children and I believe she would be an outstanding dog sitter or dog walker for anyone looking for those services.

I don't have any breed preferences. I am a lover of all kinds of dogs! I would like to know the energy level of your dog so I can give him or her the best experience for their personality. It would also be helpful to know if they have any aggressive tendencies towards other dogs we may see on a walk, just so I am aware.
A typical day
There are beautiful woods trails around my complex that also run by a pond. There is also a dog park in the complex I would be happy to bring your pup to. My husband, Tyler, and I love to take walks on the trails and would be happy to run as well. I live on the first floor which allows for easy access to the outdoors through our back patio door. As much as I love the outdoors and fresh air, I am also always up for a snuggle or a nap inside. I am happy to work with your dog's personality and what will give them the best experience! I will be home most or all of the day, ready to give your pup lots of love! For weekend stays, I am available for drop-off after 4pm on Friday and pick-up anytime Sunday evening.
