Pet care experience
Hey pet parents! My name’s Allie and that big fella in my profile picture is my akita rescue, Loki. I’ve been working in the pet industry for about 3 years now - starting with doggie daycares and now currently working at a veterinary clinic. My position at the clinic is to care for boarding pets (feeding, bathing, walking), assist techs with patients, and occasionally assist in surgeries and dentals. Most of my experience is with cat and dog care, but I’m willing to learn and work with other species too! I have some experience with dog training, as I trained my own dog myself. I also have worked with senior, special needs, blind, deaf, epileptic, and diabetic pets. I am very familiar with giving all types of medication (oral, ears, eyes), including insulin. Lastly, I have been trained on giving first aid and CPR, for dogs and cats only.
Reviews
Alison was awesome with my dogs, and made going out of town a lot less stressful. My dogs always looked happy in the pictures, and she was great at communicating anything I needed to know. Would absolutely book again!
It’s nice knowing you can safely trust your pets with someone responsible.
Allison is one of, if not, the best caregiver of animals (specifically dogs) I know. Her occupation has taught her how to properly take care of multiple different types of dogs and their demeanors. She personally owns an akita and she makes sure he has the best life possible. I personally know of multiple people who already contract Allison to care for their dogs. She would be a great addition to the Rover brand.
Allison is extremely knowledgeable about many different breeds of dogs. She has a huge heart and has a passion for animals. I would trust her with any of my animals, as she goes the extra mile to make sure your pets needs are met.

Safety, trust & environment
The animal’s safety and comfort is extremely important to me, so I appreciate when owners are honest about their dog’s behavior. It is important for me to know if your pet is an escape artist, eats/chews objects, is reactive/aggressive, ect. This will allow me to keep them as safe as possible in my possession. I am comfortable with walking dogs outside their home or my own, as long at they use a reliable collar/sliplead/harness. Lastly, if boarding or sitting, it is important to inform me if your pet has separation anxiety! Please provide tools such as their crate or medications to make them feel as comfortable as possible :)
Information Allison P. would like to know about your pet
Pet’s energy, anxiety, and reactivity/aggression level is important to share. I need to know if the dog is intact, if they’re potty trained, and any other behaviors that require more attention.
A typical day
I love taking quality or funny pictures and videos of the dogs I pet sit/walk, I will also send them to you if you’d like! If you have a fenced yard or a long lead, I really enjoy taking pups out to run, play, and get their energy out. I also enjoy hanging out and cuddling with the animals too! When we’re bored, I occasionally groom/brush the pets and even do some basic training sessions if we have the time! Both at no extra cost. Depending on how long the stay is, I also love leaving some gifts for the kiddos as well :)

Availability
I take care of animals on a daily basis - at home and for work. I do pet sitting/walking on the side while working part-time at the clinic. When I’m scheduled for 8 hour shifts (which is about twice a week), I’ll either check-in on boarding/sitting pets during my hour break, or I’ll bring them to work with me - with owner’s permission. The longest I have left pets alone is about 6 hours - I do not feel comfortable leaving them alone for longer than that.
