Pet care experience
Thanks for stopping by! I would describe myself as a dogless, dog lover (yes, there is such a thing). Rest assure that I will enthusiastically care for your dog as if he/she is my own! I have lifelong experience caring for dogs and volunteer experience as a dog walker at a local shelter, which gave me experience with a wide variety of breeds and personalities. Rover is a way for me to have some dog time and also help other pet owners who need a caring dog walker. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and drop-in visits on the weekends in Durham and Chapel Hill. ***If you are local, I will want to meet beforehand to be sure we are a good match.***

Allison was great with our dog. She took great care and interest in getting to know our dog and her typical routine. She is very easy to work with and we felt very confident working with her. As much as possible! But at a minimum, I would like to know the dogs normal routine (meals, potty breaks, etc.) and the type of exercise the dog usually gets. If during a weekday, I want to be sure the dog is accustomed to with a full-time working schedule and lunchtime potty break (not necessary on weekends/holidays). My apartment does have breed restrictions, so I must be cognizant of this (unfortunately!).
A typical day
I have a 1 mile wooded walking/jogging trail around my apartment complex. I am also open to taking dogs to other locations and dog friendly places, as long as the owner is comfortable. This also depends on anxiety level of the dog. For short stays, I sometimes feel it is better to stay around my apartment.
