Pet care experience
My name is Allison (or Al) and I would love the chance to care for your best friend! I have worked in pet care for 5 years now and enjoyed every bit of it. Although most of my work and personal experience is with dogs, I’ve also cared for cats, reptiles, birds (even ducks!) and rodents. I have recent experience with senior dog care due to my own pup struggling with a brain tumor. This includes frequent urination, administering oral medication, and careful care for old tired bones. I believe that communication and trust (especially in a pet care environment) is extremely important! I pride myself on being available and accommodating for all of your needs while caring for you pet and home. I always keep the environment very clean and tidy for your return back to the home. While sitting, I can also take on extra tasks such as watering plants, getting mail, taking out trash, etc. Just ask!

Information Allison P. would like to know about your pet
Before working with you or your dog, I would always like to have a meet and greet! It is important for me to make sure the dog is comfortable with me and to gauge the dogs energy levels so we can figure out a way to make sure they are happy while you are away. For example, one dog might be much more comfortable cuddling on the couch while another might prefer lots of playing and then some alone time. It is also helpful to know if they have any signs of food aggression, if anything triggers them while on walks, and if they have any areas they don’t like being pet.
A typical day
I firmly believe a tired dog is a happy dog and I’m sure you agree! Pets require a certain amount of stimulation to be their happy and healthy selves. I love to go on long walks while letting the dogs take in all the smells they want! I have a few fun and motivating toys I would be happy to bring to your house as well.

I am currently working my other job Friday and Saturday 11am-8pm during which I would be unavailable. I am very open during the rest of the week and have experience managing conflicting schedules! (Special requests can be made for Fri or Sat)
