Pet care experience
I have always had pets in my household (dogs and cats) that I've had to care for. This includes feeding, going on walks, cleaning/bathing, and caring for sick pets as well. On top of this, neighbors and friends have trusted me with overnight dog sitting, daily visits for walks and companionship, and pet sitting for up to 14 cats/kittens at once. I've cared for a range of dogs, from small Bichon Frises, to Golden Doodles and Great Danes. I've also cared for a momma dog and her 5 puppies before as well so I have experience in this aspect as well. I've had experience owning/caring for fish as well, so my knowledge ranges far and wide.

Allison was absolutely AMAZING. I am the typical overbearing dog parent who just moved to the area. She set up a meet and greet with my dog and was in communication prior to my trip. During my trip Allison sent frequent updates, including pictures! The stress of leaving a pet in a new area can be significant and Allison did a wonderful job of alleviating that anxiety. 100% would recommend and will rebook for any future trips!
Allison was great with our cat! She followed all directions, kept food/water filled, and litterbox clean. We loved her promptness and the pics she sent. Would definitely recommend :)
My dogs were comfortable with Allison immediately and I was happy they were able to stay at their home where they’re most comfortable and least stressed. Allison communicated with me wonderfully and really made my vacation stress free knowing I didn’t have to worry about my babies.
Allison was great! She was punctual and handled everything we needed her to do for our pups. She sent daily updates and pics. We would definitely recommend her!

As I've cared for pets all my life and theirs, I've dealt with ailments such as broken limbs, dog vertigo, or help with mobility as well.

It is important to know if the is any special care needed ahead of time. This could be anything from medication, a special diet, or even mobility assistance. I think it is also important to keep a dog on a similar schedule/lifestyle even when you're away. Knowing if there are certain rules (no pets on furniture, no treats) is something that can help when your dogs routine is different. Additionally, any special behaviors (jumping, barking, things like this) are appreciated in advance as well.
A typical day
One of my favorite places to go for an easier walk is the Greenway in Boone. However, I also like hikes and if your dog is up for it, I would love to take them along. I am also a big fan of activities that provide mental stimulation, such as foraging for food (can be done with the dogs food and a towel, or a simple game of fetch. If there is anything else your dog does normally, reach out to me and we can see if it is something I can do as well!
