From the minute I met Allison, I knew that my fur baby would be in excellent hands! She was responsive, warm and friendly from the first messages we exchanged, and setting up a meet and greet was so easy! From my profile she could see that I have a pit bull, and her first reaction was "I love pit bulls!" (oh thank god, breath of fresh air!) At the meet and greet, it felt like I had known her for years. Her family is just so nice, and their boxer Higgins was the perfect play mate for my 4 year old pittie. I could tell immediately that Allison and her wife are extremely meticulous with not only their son, but Higgins as well, so I knew my pup would be in good hands. The stay itself was only for one night. I wasn't nervous in the least (just sad that I would be away from my pup for a night!). I got several photo updates of how my dog just fit right in with their family (it looked like she didn't miss us at all!). Skylar came home happy, healthy, and exhausted (in a good way!). A little about me: I am absolutely neurotic about my dog. She has had two knee surgeries, and I have to watch her level of exercise so she doesn't require a third surgery! Allison was extremely receptive to my concerns for Skylar over-doing it. I warned Allison that Skylar would probably limp a little after playing with Higgins, but it was nothing of concern. I was actually shocked that Skylar BARELY had a limp when we brought her home. I can tell that Allison had a handle on Skylar's needs. I actually find it incredible that Skylar was so tired that she had to sleep for two days, yet her knee was perfectly fine! I owe that to Allison. It is very comforting knowing that I have found someone who will care for my pup as much as I do. THANK YOU Allison!! You are wonderful and I can't wait to book with you again!

5 Stars! Allison was awesome from the very first email when we were scheduling the initial meet & greet. Each subsequent communication only reinforced my first impression of her. She's an excellent listener, she's amazingly quick to respond to your questions, and she comes across as a confident person that in turn gives you, the dog owner, the confidence to know your dog is in excellent hands. And Allison's demeanor is so easy going that for me, I felt like I was dropping my dog off to a long-time, dog-loving, friend. It all adds up to a tremendous peace of mind that is hard to find. Just a little background on me and my dog in order to put this review in context: I don't go on vacations too often. And when I do, I try to go to dog friendly places. But when I can't, in the past I have tried dog kennels at the vet, luxury boarding facilities, non-luxury boarding facilities, dog walkers coming to my house 3 times a day, etc. Each time, there was always a pit in my stomach that my dog wasn't getting the love he needed. And each time, when I came home, I can tell he wasn't his happy, usual, self. So, when I discovered Rover.com, and more importantly, Allison, as much as I love my dog, it was nice to actually take a mental vacation from him for once. But just to be clear, while my dog was boarding with Allison for 7 days, she still sent occasional brief email updates in exactly the right dosage. And I knew if I needed more, she would have gladly upped the dosage. But point here is that my mind was at ease from that very first email and it stayed there. In the course of my 11 years of having a dog and having to occasionally board him, this is the first time I've had that peace of mind. And the cherry on top: my dog came back his happy self - possibly even a bit happier !
