Pet care experience
I have 10 years of experience taking care of a variety of species with differing needs. I have administered medications, fed, and loved on senior and disabled cats, feisty twin french bull dog puppies, rescue pit bulls, and even reptiles and amphibians! I am obtaining my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and am a mental health counseling intern here in St. Petersburg. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of South Florida. There I studied animal behavior and conducted sociology research which I love putting into action. I am a YTT-200 International Yoga Alliance Teacher for youth and adults with differing needs and their caregivers. Pre-COVID I was an after school center director for a local arts academy. There I oversaw curriculum, transportation, wellbeing and development for over 80 kids per day and their families. This means I have Level II background check clearance. My professional background helps me create games and behavioral modifications (if needed!) for the animals I look after. I LOVE uniting pet and owner, so expect some lovey-dovey photos of your animals while you're away! I am told that I easily calm, raise spirits, and earn trust and respect in pets. I always give your loved ones ample attention, treats, and even a report card at the of our time together :) PS- I have been petsitting for many years, so my reviews on this site do not yet account for my vast experience. Allison is fantastic! She is friendly, helpful, and flexible and seems to be a true animal lover. She took great care of my fur babies while I was out of the country on a business trip and even downloaded WhatsApp so she could send me photo updates every day. Would definitely recommend!

A typical day
What does Bubba love to do in a normal day in the life? Well then that’s what we will do! No surprises here, unless your pet loves variety. Walks around the block, dog park visits at North Shore, watching the birds and mailmen from the window sill… the list is endless!

My remote work can accommodate early, midday, and late visits depending on the day and with ample scheduling ahead of time. Overnight visits also possible given planning. Happy to make it work!
