***NOTE: I am accepting clients in MANHATTAN only for transportation reasons!*** I live on the Upper West Side and work in public health after obtaining my master's degree from Columbia University. I can't have a dog of my own right now, so instead I would love to take care of yours! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes—the bigger, the better! My childhood dog wasn't always the best-behaved, so I know how to handle a large dog jumping, pulling on his leash, and trying to run out the door. I am also very comfortable walking multiple dogs at the same time (up to three) once I have gotten to know them. I have dog-sat for many years on and off throughout high school, college, grad school, and as a part time gig. I have always loved the experience and the many canine friends I meet. Taking care of your dog is not just a way for me to make money, but something I genuinely look forward to and often the highlight of my day!

Allison was wonderful with our two dogs!! She was so attentive with them and even noticed little things we did for them, like helping our senior dog settle by bringing her bed out to the living room for her. It was so great to be able to leave them with someone we could trust!
Allison has been great. She takes care of my pups’ different needs and I feel confident when she’s checking on them during my long days. Very flexible with my schedule changes as well!

I want to keep your pet's routines as normal as possible. During house-sitting, I am happy to let them sleep in the bed with me, or wherever they are used to, and I will keep meal times consistent as well.

I love all breeds! To make your dog comfortable, it's best for me to know everything you usually do to take care of them or before walking them. It's especially important to know how your dog reacts around other dogs on walks, if there are any spots they don't like people to pet, and any other things that may make them anxious.
A typical day
I love to get out to NYC's many parks to give your pup (and myself!) some exercise! A walk will always include a trip to one of our beautiful parks and lots of time to sniff. I always wait to build trust and familiarity with a pet before letting them off-leash anywhere, even inside fenced areas or a dog park.

Availability
I live on the Upper West Side and would like to care for my neighbor's pets in the nearby area. I work from home Mondays and Fridays and am available to provide lunchtime check-ins or walks on these days, or housesitting for long weekends. If I know you and your dog(s) already, we can chat about longer stays!
