Hello, I'm Allison! I am a lifelong animal lover, licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher, and PATH certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. As far as my experience with critters goes, I was a 4H club member for about 8 years and showed horses in the county fair annually. I also I worked at a doggy about 2 years; as a team, we had one huge group of dogs of varying breeds and temperaments in one large room, typically 50+! More recently, I worked in equine-assisted therapy sessions at a local residential recovery center alongside a licensed therapist. As I’ve spent more time in therapeutic spaces, I’ve only come to put more and more attention on the full experience of the animals and believe we must attend to their emotional experiences, not just their physical experiences. My senior dog and I live with my partner in an apartment with direct access to the Via Fortuna hiking trail. My dog, Kaylee, is a rescue that I've had since she was a few months old. She is well-socialized, a total sweetheart, and loves to meet new friends. I consider this sweet pup to be my family, and know firsthand how nerve racking it can be finding a good pet sitter!
