Pet care experience
I have been a veterinary technician since I was in high school and have had dogs my whole life. My partner is also a veterinary technician, so we make a great dog sitting team. I left clinic life to be a stay at home mom to our wonderful little boy (and our cats and dogs!), so there is always someone here to keep your furry family member company. We have a large, fully fenced yard which our dogs have access to wheneverthey would like. We have experience with all kinds of dog breeds, ages, types, personalities and needs. We look forward to being able to care for your beloved family member!

Allison is basically an extended family member at this point :) We and our cats feel so at ease when we travel just knowing she'll be looking after them. She's a loving and thoughtful person and we can't recommend her enough.

Fenway loves staying with Allison and hanging out with her buddies Lucas and Henry. Allison and her family are wonderful in every way and I can heartily recommend her without reservation.

Must get along with other dogs. Around here, cats are not a snack. We have a 7yo, so must be tolerant of occasional loud noises.
A typical day
We have a trail to the Des Moines waterfront outside of our house! During nice weather, a walk in the woods to the waterfront is a must! Dogs also enjoy a romp in our good sized back yard which has a mix of concrete, grass, trees, dirt, and covered areas. During the warmer times (and even not so warm times) we also have a pool for splashing around in.

I have picked up a few shifts at my previous job, so I'm gone a couple hours twice per week. My partner works from home and is almost always here!
