Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm Allie, a grad student and (of course!) total animal lover. I love to be exercising and outdoors. I'm studying biology and want to work in some sort of field involving rehabilitating and conserving our beautiful world and all its critters. As you'll see from my photos, I seriously love and respect all animals. I've taken care of dogs for many years and love them as if they were my own. I'm a proud mom of a hedgehog named Flora. I also work with exotic animals for my job and have worked with everything from monkeys to exotic amphibians to big aquarium systems. My favorite thing about taking care of dogs is providing pet parents the knowledge that their family member is being taken care of just as if they were home. I am happy to discuss with you any needs that your dog may have and any specifics of how I can best care for them. I love taking dogs for walks (or runs!) and am always up for playing games. I would love to meet you and your pup! I am CPR, AED and Heartsaver Certified. I am unavailable for midday visits Tuesdays and Fridays for Summer 2018 (can stop by before 8 and after 5).

Allie stayed with our two labradors and one cat (who thinks he's a labrador) for the first time last week and we couldn't have been more pleased ! Our pets are family members and very spoiled...they are also older and have health issues and I was concerned about leaving them with someone new. Allie was great .... very thorough and detail oriented and followed the schedule I requested. We will definitely use her again to stay with our beloved babies !

I am open to looking after all breeds! I like to know if the dog is unusually aggressive, has a history of trauma, escaping or getting loose, and how they interact with strangers. In addition, I'd like to know about any medical conditions and "triggers" that may set the dog off. On a more fun notes, I want to know your doggo's quirks and preferences, from food to favorite games! Of course, we'll chat about many more details before the stay begins!
A typical day
I love going on walks or jogs, depending on the energy of your dog! I am happy to play games of fetch or tug-of-war or just sit and cuddle if that's more their style. My main priority is to give individualized care--treating your dog the way they want to be treated so they have a fun and safe time while you are away. I also want to give you as much (or as little) information on your dog while you're away to keep your mind at peace! I know how stressful it can be to leave your pup and I'm happy to send pictures and updates on the day's activities.
