Hi there, I'm Allie! I'm a stay-at-home-mom to a nutty toddler, and I thought Rover seemed like a nice way to combine my love of animals with an opportunity to occasionally get out of the house! I'm passionate about all dogs, but I have a soft spot for large mutts in particular. I have a dog of my own, a Super Mutt named Murphy who was rescued from a Durham organization nearly six years ago. My nightly rate includes at least two visits per day to make sure your pets have food, water, bathroom breaks and lots of attention. I have been the owner of a dog for the past six years, and I grew-up with a giant labrador. While my experience has primarily been with larger dogs, I love just about anything with four legs. Why I love dog sitting I've always, always been drawn to animals, and I've loved dogs as long as I can remember. I got my first family dog when I was in the sixth grade - a giant yellow lab (100+ pounds!) named Max - who was with us until I was in my early 20's. About two weeks before we got engaged, my now-husband and I adopted a puppy from a Durham rescue group. We thought he was the cutest thing on four legs, but no one wanted the doberman/pit bull/mastiff mix. After a reassuring phone call with an animal behaviorist, we took a leap of faith and Murphy has been a cherished family member ever since.
