I have had dogs for 22 years. I grew up with a Shih Tzu but was that kid who always brought home strays. I have never met a dog that doesn't like me or really animal for that matter. In the past few years I have become involved in animal rescue. I started off by volunteering for a local animal shelter as a foster parent. I then moved onto coordinating adoption events, fundraisers & helped with finding rescues for the shelter dogs. As for my experience in dog sitting, I have done that for various friends & family members over the years. As long as I know their routines & what to do, your furry family member won't even realize you aren't home! Okay, maybe they will but it won't be as upsetting as it could be. In addition, I have gone through extensive training with my personal dogs in the past. Now, I myself am not a dog trainer and would never imply as such but I know how to handle dogs in different situations because of it. I have also learned how to be a better pet parent because of it as well and will utilize my knowledge to make sure you pet has the best care. I have two dogs at my home - Neutered male, 7ish year old shihtzu/lhasa apso & a male puppy (not yet neutered but will be upon 6 months of age), 3 months old retriever/poodle mix. They are completely good with other dogs and would love to hang out with your furkid!
