Pet care experience
When I was a child I would always prefer playing with stuffed animals instead of dolls. My favorite pastime was pretending to be a veterinarian (“but then I found out you had to put your hands into cows and stuff”). My love for animals grew from caring for my own pets to caring for others when I started my first pet sitting business at just 10 years old. In my late teens to early 20s I fostered for several different animal rescues and even adopted one for myself #fosterfailure. Now I have my own 10 year-old that shares my passion for creatures of all shapes and sizes. Rodents, birds, fish, reptiles, mammals large and small; I’ve just about owned them all.

***Here in Arizona it is no secret the temperatures can get rather extreme, which means the pavement your pups walk on can easily reach up to 150 degrees. During the summer months I will not be providing dog walking services for this reason but do have an alternative “drop in” service where I can make sure your canine still gets a potty break but the workout is brought indoors.***

Every pet has their own set of quirks, so any information you can provide as far as their normal routine and what will make them most comfortable while in my care will be helpful.
A typical day
My house has a decent-sized backyard which will be available to any boarding guests to run around and enjoy. During the cooler months my pack and I are avid hikers and love to go on adventures that your pup is more than welcome to be apart of! If all of that sounds overwhelming, my household is also highly trained in the arts of lounging and snuggles. Please do keep in mind for boarding requests that my 12yo son and our two dogs (100lb Pat and 10lb Cooper) all live in the home full-time.

Availability
While Rover has become a large part of my every day, please do keep in mind it is not my primary job. I will always do my best to accommodate your pet’s schedule and needs, but I am humble enough to understand there may sometimes be a better fit than what I can offer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and see what options I have available to help you and those you hold most dear to you. I work overnights for my primary job, so if there is ever a delay in my response there’s a good chance I’m sleeping, but I will always get back to you as quickly as I can. I do not book without meeting in person first, so please also make sure you have prepared enough time to coordinate a connection.
