Hey there, everypawdy. I'm Alix, the missing link between the human and canine world. I can't wait to meet your furball! I've been dogsitting for about eight years, and it's been wonderful meeting new canines. I've taken care of dogs in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. I can give the dog oral medication, as well as baths. The pups enjoy long walks, lots of playtime, photo shoots, and major belly rubs when they're with me. The dogs even learn how to write, and will send you texts and emails from themselves! I LOVE all kinds of dogs! Couch potato? We'll snuggle. Active dog? Let's play ball! Little dogs, big dogs, small dogs who *think* they're big dogs...let's meet! This will be a PAW-some experience for your pup(s)!

Alix is reliable and responsible. He always sends (p)updates with pictures throughout his stay. This is the 3rd time we’ve had Alix stay with our boys and trust him completely. We always feel at ease while on our vacation when Alix is around!
Alix did a wonderful job watching our two Bernedoodle puppies. The girls loved being him while we were away for a week. They received so much love and belly rubs! We loved the pictures and updates. We will definitely book with Alix again!

I have received my COVID-19 vaccine, and wear a mask 😷 inside your home for walks and drop-in visits. I don’t wear a mask while I’m staying overnight. I do require that (human) clients mask up for the meet and greet. I have a dog First Aid kit in my car should a need arise. If I am transporting a pup, I use a dog seatbelt.

I require that the dog be up-to-date on their shots. I need a current copy of their vaccination record. I must know if they have any illnesses—that doesn’t necessarily mean I can’t take care of your pup, but I need to know in order to keep all of us healthy. I don’t have any breed preference, but I had a Westie growing up, so I have the most experience with them. I’m also very familiar with Catahoula Leopard Dogs, as that’s my Nephdog and I frequently take care of him.
A typical day
Your pup will go on walks and/or play in the yard (depending on your preferences). I will follow their lead with activities. I ONLY go to dog parks if you specifically request that. All dogs will have plenty of opportunities for photos! They receive tons of love!

Availability
I spend a lot of time with the dog(s). When house sitting, I typically only leave for appointments, to pick up food, or if I need to walk another dog. Please let me know if it’s okay to leave to walk another dog. I need to know how often your dog needs to go out, and how long they’re used to being alone.
