Pet care experience
Hello! :) I provide enthusiastic, reliable, and loving care for all animal family members, and I’m especially passionate about senior cats and dogs. Growing up around all kids of animals jumpstarted my love for animals at a very young age! My two babies that I grew up with both passed away in the last year (my yellow lab was 17 and my cat was 18!) and I was a main support for their senior and end of life care. I don’t currently have a pet at home and I work mostly in the evenings so I’m available for your morning and midday needs! I've had my fair share of pet and house sitting, and it makes my DAY taking care of cats and dogs, of all shapes and sizes. I enjoy spending one on one time with our furry friends - whether it be exploring local hiking trails or dedicated play time, your pups are always the center of my attention. On walks I will always let them stop to sniff to their hearts desires, and will implement any training practices you currently use. I truly love pets and treat each one like they are my own. I am a detail-oriented, hardworking, and outgoing nature and animal lover! I can’t wait to meet you and your babies!

The best cat sitter we’ve had! We returned to a clean home and two happy cats following Alissa’s five days of care. We had struggled to find someone we thoroughly trust to provide the best care and are so glad to have found Alissa! She stayed for extra time, provided ample play and cuddles, followed all instructions, and communicated very well. Thank you Alissa! The kitties can’t wait to see you again!
Alissa took great care of our two elderly kitties. We got daily visit photos and she did really well of keeping their messes tidy! No easy feat with our two boys.
This was our first booking with Alissa and she has been excellent. She was highly responsive and easy to explain things to. She suggested a pre-visit meet to understand the layout and meet our 2 cats. She was on time and very friendly and a great listener. On the actual visists she asked us what we wanted and she followed tht exactly and sent us some great pics and vids of the cats. Our cats who are very shy, responded to her well and overall we couldnt have been happier with her. 10/10.

From there I’ll add my own layers of fun and enrichment to really make their day! When we’re on walks, I always think safety first (traffic, other animals, etc.) and lead with a calm and direct tone of voice. I’ll do regular check ins with a dogs energy while on a walk to make sure they’re comfortable and safe :)

I’d love to know their habits around the house and what they're like on a typical day, as well as what activities they enjoy and how they get along with other dogs. Any insight to their history and temperament can help me cater my approach. The more information I know about their preferences, the more fun we can have!
A typical day
Walking dogs is the best! I love being outside, getting fresh air, and seeing how happy the dogs get. I also love hiking trails and enjoying nature. After a nice exercise we'll be relaxing inside and enjoying more belly-rubs. Being an enthusiastic person myself, I enjoy sharing my energy with a furry friend. The only thing that beats going on walks is playing with them and providing enrichment activities to stimulate their brains! I love playing with dogs and being creative and giving them all the attention they deserve.

Availability
I work mostly evenings with a flexible schedule so daytime needs are right up my alley! I am also a night owl so late night care is an option for me too. I regularly go on walks and enjoy walking around my neighborhood in addition to going to the gym frequently. I’m a very athletic person and play volleyball twice a week so my strength and energy levels come in handy when playing and taking care of with pups!
