I have been working with animals for over 14 years and have lived with dogs my entire life! I have 8 years experience working at Doggiedaycares with groups of 30+ dogs at a time. I have been dog sitting for 14 years part time. I am comfortable with all dogs, all sizes and needs. I am confident with any medication administration needed and Senior dog care. I require a meeting before moving forward. This allows you to get to know me and allows me to introduce myself to you and your pet. It is also helpful to have you go through their daily routine and learn what I need to know about staying with your pet!

I've known Alissa for over a decade. Not only is she one of the most dependable, compassionate, and fun people I know, but she also a dog whisperer. Alissa is the first person I turn to for advice on anything about dogs, and the first person I think of to take care of my dog when I am away. I know she has a robust resume of professional experience with dogs, and of course, plenty of personal experience as well. She is knowledgeable about the idiosyncracies of training and carrying for young dogs (as well as old), she is trustworthy enough to stay at your house to take care of them, and she possesses the character and integrity required to make her clients feel secure in her expertise. As an animal person, dogs obviously aren't the only thing she is skilled in caring for, and I would trust her with any of my pets, even unique or exotic ones. There's no better person that you could choose to take care of your companion.
When in doubt call for Alissa. She’s the best! Most people could figure out how to throw a leash on a pup and take a lap around the block. That’s a no can do for Alissa. She goes above and for everyone, people and dogs alike. That being said, your dog will be just as happy to see Alissa as she is to see your pup. She’s genuinely excited to share this time and makes sure that your precious pup is happy and feels nurtured. Be warned that your dog may want to go home with her, because she’s that caring.
Alissa has been the best dogwalker we’ve ever had! She really cares for your pets and will love them as much as you do. She’s very knowledgeable, kind, and generous. Extra large or extra small she knows exactly how to handle them. She’ll be your pets new best friend in no time!

Before your time away I make sure to have a meet and greet with you in your home. This will allow me time to have your pets learn who I am as well as give you the opportunity to show me the lay of the land. As a type A neat freak I always make sure to leave your home better than when you left it. My biggest compliment I receive is that you won’t even know anyone was there!

I ask that you leave a list of these items behind while I’m sitting for your pet so we have all bases covered: Emergency contact Vet Information Feeding schedule, quantity and times Normal potty times— do they go in the yard or on walks Treat policy (do they get treats after every potty time etc) If I leave the house must they be crated? Any quirks, for example: they will steal from the trash, they aren’t allowed in certain rooms of the house, they are allowed on couches etc
A typical day
I try to keep your pets routine as close to normal as possible. If that means park visits or daily walks then that’s what they will get!! I do not take dogs to dog parks EVER, but if your dog prefers more open walking I do often go to Rose Tree Park or Ridley Creek. I also do not do off leash walks with any dog but my own for the dogs safety.
