I have grown up in a dog show family and am a registered AKC breeder/owner/handler. I worked as a veterinary technician for a while and am currently living in a place where I can't have pets (there are already two dogs). I am a graduate student and have a reasonably flexible schedule. My house always had 4 or 5 dogs, each with unique personalities and needs. I am willing to work with dogs that are young, old, and everything in between. I've had dogs with severe food allergies and respect dietary restrictions and other health concerns. I’ve never had an emergency while pet sitting, but always have Rover’s insurance and a car if needed. I always meet the owners and dog(s) beforehand to make sure we are all comfortable with each other.
