I work at a pet rescue in Little Rock with over 20 dogs and a few different animals. My job includes giving dogs medication, helping work on their anxiety issues and help house break them so that they are adoptable pets. I’ve taken care of a lot of pets over the years. I’ve bottle fed plenty of kittens and puppies and basically raised them from birth. I’ve done massage therapy on a two week old puppy who couldn’t walk because his legs were crooked, now he walks fine. I used to have a Pomeranian where as she got older she had a harder time chewing on food so I’ve literally given her the heimlich maneuver twice and saved her life. In my house if any of our animals take medication I have to be the person to give it to them because I’m the only person patient enough to do it without getting bit or scratched up. If your dog has certain allergies or certain diets I will respect that. I’m huge on eating healthy so I will do what I can to make sure your pet is getting what they need. In all honesty I don’t trust people who call their pets “it.” (Your pet is basically your child lol) Im a huge dog lover, honestly I like them more than people sometimes. I’ll take your dogs on walks, if they like cuddling I will show them SOO much love. I’m not afraid of “big scary dogs” honestly it’s the big ones who are the sweetest from my experience. Even if a dog bites me I don’t freak out, I stay calm enough to still asses the situation rather than just getting angry with the dog and blaming them. I’m no longer aloud to have pets at my house which kinda sucks because I’ve grown up in a house that has always had at least 4 pets or more at one time. I’m basically doing this job so I can still have ways of being around animals because I love them so much.
