24/7 care for your sweet fur baby!

Pet care experience

I love fur babies of all kinds! I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, lizards, and fish all of my life from when I was a baby, up until current day. I often work with my husband Rob, who is also as big of an animal lover as myself - I like to call him the pet whisperer because he is very intuitive with pets needs. We will care for your pet in our home, or even go to yours! We are both available for dog walking, checking in on your pet at your home, and lots of love and care. Rob is also experienced with giving subcutaneous fluids and insulin, and we can both give pet’s meds. We have one cat at home (Meme, 10 years old). Meme is very good with boarders in our home (of which we’ve had many!), and should any issues arise, we have means to keep her separate from any other animals with our numerous baby gates that we can segment off the house and rooms as need be. We are very conscious about how our boarders and Meme get along, and since there are two of us, those are two sets of eyes to keep an eye on everyone, and two sets of hands to separate any potential lunges or attacks. And, of course, if your baby does not get along well with cats, we can keep everyone fully separated so your fur baby will have a fully Meme-free environment to keep everyone as calm and stress free as possible. When you choose to have me and Rob care for your baby, we will follow your instructions to a T. We will also send you updates via Rover message with photos, so you can see how your baby is doing in our care. We have a pet friendly vehicle and can transport your pet with ease. We work from home, and are available around the clock to fit your schedule, and though we do have to step out occasionally for appointments and such, we keep those excursions to a minimum. We have a spacious 3 floor home, but can also block off areas easily to separate your pet (for instance, if your pet can’t do stairs). We have a fully furnished 3rd floor with two comfortable twin beds that pets are more than welcome to sleep on, and we also allow pets on our sofas, as our sofa covers are removable and can be washed. We wash them between clients so there’s less of a potential of a previous boarders scent staying around to stress your baby out. We have a nice quiet neighborhood that we can walk in, and there’s a park a few minutes away that we can walk in as well! Schedule: We are available for short term care currently. We are not able to take on care on an indefinite basis. However, if you are going away on a trip, and need someone to care for your fur, feather, or scaled baby while you are away, we would love to help you out! Dog walking: We accept dog walking clients with a prior meet and greet only, to see if we are a good fit for your pup. We will happily take on larger dogs, so long as they are leash trained and don't drag or jump on us. We strongly encourage a meet and greet prior to us house sitting or boarding. We prefer to do the meet and greet in your home regardless of your pick of house sitting or boarding, as your pet will be familiar with their own home surroundings and smells, and introductions are usually a lot more stress-free this way. We can also meet in a neutral location like outside or at a park, if preferred. House sitting: We love house sitting, as we know this is by far the least stressful way for your pets to be cared for. Since they wont be taken out of the home and locked in a kennel 22-23 hours a day like most outside the home boarding situations, your pet will feel much more comfortable and at ease being in their own home environment with familiar smells and locations. For house sitting situations, we try to be at your home as much as possible, however there will be times where we do need to run errands, go to appointments, and care for other pets. Although this is a rare occurrence, sometimes we have appointments that will take longer than 4 hours. If we have to be out longer than 4 hours, we will communicate that to you and make sure that will fit with your pet's needs, and try to find workarounds if possible (leaving for two shorter blocks rather than one long stretch). If you have any questions or concerns about anything regarding this, we would love to talk with you and ease any of your worries or concerns. We try to be as upfront and honest about everything so you are kept in the loop with any goings-on. Boarding: We currently have a live-in elderly cat, Meme, and she is accustomed to our various short term boarders. We have a multi-story home, so we are able to accommodate other pets here. We are very safe when doing introductions, and since there are two of us caring for your pet, we can easily keep pets sequestered on a case by case basis. We have the ability to block off rooms and sections of our home with numerous baby gates and doors, and have a good method of keeping any pets sequestered that need to be. If your pet doesn’t get along with kitties, that is totally fine! We can keep them with one of us on a totally separate floor or segment of the house, and they will never know that there’s a kitty who lives here! If we are introducing your dog to Meme, we keep them at a very safe distance and will utilize baby gates to prevent anyone from fearful lunges/attacks. If we notice any signs of fear/stress that are above the normal first-time meeting jitters, we will give even more more space between the pets, usually by way of separate rooms with double spaced baby gates, or separate floors if need be. With cats, we typically keep kitties separated and do not introduce other kitties to Meme. We have specific areas to put litter boxes and a separate area for food and water. Your kitty will not have access to Meme's litter, food, or water, so they wont be stressed out from different smells or have access to food that they arent accustomed to. All kitties in our home will have access to comfy sofas regardless of which floor they're on. With pups, we usually will allow a pup access to all floors of our home, unless your pup doesnt do stairs well, and then we keep them on the main floor only, with baby gates blocking the stairs. All pups will have access to comfy sofas regardless of which floor they're on.

Alison and Robert took an amazing care of our bearded dragon Ceasar while we were gone for a week! They went above and beyond to spend extra time with him every day and we really appreciated the detailed daily updates with all the photos. Our beardie looked so happy and healthy when we came back :) We will book their services again in a heartbeat next time we're out of town!

Alison & Robert were amazing sitters for my cat. They were friendly and quick to reply while booking and provided so much communication (including photos and videos) while watching my cat which made me feel so much better while away. It is clear that they both adore animals and are experienced watching them. Will absolutely be booking Alison & Robert again!

A typical day

Whether your pet is younger or older, they’ll have a lovely time at our home! I can block areas off if they aren’t allowed up or down stairs, and we can play in my big living room, or cozy up by the gas fireplace on a cold evening! I’ll take your dog for walks in my quiet neighborhood, or we can head down to the park a few minutes away for a longer playtime! If you have a cat who is interested, chances are I would be interested in doing some (free) Kitty training. I have successfully taught several of my Kitty clients (and also my own cat, Meme) skills like: “shake”, “high five”, and “up”. Your Kitty would have to be food motivated (we would use their treats or pieces of their kibble as training “cookies” for teaching. This works best when we have at least a week to work with your Kitty on the skills, and we don’t charge for this service. We do it just for fun! If you are not interested in this, feel free to let us know.
