Once a doglover, always a doglover

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Alison, I have always grown up around dogs and I have a fur-baby of my own. His name is Blaze, he is the sweetest Deaf dog, always asking for cuddles. But he veers on the protective side and doesn't always get along with other dogs, which is why I don't sit dogs in my own home. But, I truly enjoy caring for dogs and cats and other various animals! I think that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their pets. With me, your animals will be loved and taken care of. I am available to give your loved ones regular meals, take them on walks, play with them, cuddle with them, and truly pamper them while you're away. I send pictures and regular updates to give you peace of mind. I will treat them as if they're my own, which means that they will be given a lot of attention and care! I am comfortable with small and large dogs, young and old dogs. I also have experience with Deaf dogs and with administrating oral medicines, as well as nose drops to pets. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I am almost always available.

Alison has loved animals—dogs in particular—since she was a very little girl. Growing up, if she saw a stray dog, she would insist on rescuing it and returning it to its owner. If a person and a dog are walking down the street together, Ali will look at the dog, not the person! She has been around dogs her whole life and owns a deaf dog right now.I think she sees dogs as creatures that we can learn a lot from. I recommend Ali without reservation to care for or walk dogs. Sincerely, Susie O’Hara

Alison, number one is an animal lover. Her affection, interaction, and attention to animals is truly genuine and kind. Every animal will love and adore the amount of attention they would be getting from her, and truly have nothing to worry about when being in her care. Her gentle kind approach to people is a huge plus as well as her willingness and flexibility to fit the needs of the animals and their companions.

HOUSE SITTING / DOG WALKING / DROP IN VISITS: (AT YOUR PLACE): Typically, I will do a meet and greet at your home before any of these types of bookings, so that you can get to know me and I can learn where everything is and what the routines are for your pet(s). If you've never done a meet and greet, I am happy to walk you through the process. The first meet and greet is always free of charge no matter how far of a drive. During any of these types of visits I can help with feeding your pets and ensuring they have fresh water, letting them outside (if you have a fenced in yard), and giving them lots of love and attention. In addition to taking care of your pets, I can also do simple household tasks. I can help with getting the mail, newspaper, and/or signing for or bringing in packages, taking the trash out or to the curb, feeding the fish, etc for no additional charge. Don’t forget the keys! After booking or at the end of a meet and greet, if you are confident that you will book my services, you can give me a spare key, tell me the location of the hide-a-key, or give me a garage or front door code so I can get into your home and lock up safely when I leave. Also, don’t forget to tell me the location of the mailbox, and leave a code or key to that if you would like me to get your mail. I will drive up to 10 miles or twenty minutes maximum away from my home to visit your pet(s), this is included in the price of your booking. If you live further away than this I will adjust the price to include the extra gas I would be using, thank you for understanding! Please keep reading for specifics on each service. House Sitting (At Your Place): During a typical house sitting stay I stay at your home nearly all day. I try my best to ensure your pets keep the regular routine they typically would have if you were home all day. It is up to you if I sleep overnight in your home or if I stay at my home overnight. If I stay overnight in your home I will need to go home once a day to feed my dog, but this won't take more than two hours in total. If you prefer I stay at my home at night, I will arrive early in the morning and leave late a night to ensure the most time possible is spent in your house to keep your home and pets safe. Just let me know if you want me to stay at your place or mine! Walks are free of charge during house sitting stays. Let me know if your dog has restrictions like 'should only walk a half mile in total because of bad knees'. Dog Walking (At Your Place): Typically, this is where I come to your house at a time you request to walk your dog. Rover recommends sitters spend a half-hour for this service. During this time slot, I can also feed your dog(s) and give them water, or give them medications if that is needed. I will be sure to snap a photo of your dog(s) and let you know where we walked, how far, for how long, if they got water and or food and more. Let me know if your dog has restrictions like 'does not get along with other dogs'. Drop In Visits: (At Your Place) Usually, this is where I come to your house at a time you request to check in on your pets, give them food and water, and let your dogs out into your yard (for places with fenced in yards). Rover recommends that drop in visits last a half-hour. I will stay for at least a half hour, often times veering more towards 45 minutes. A drop-in visit does not include a walk so be careful when you pick which service you require! Don't forget to let me know if this is your first time using Rover! I can offer you a promo code that gets you discounts on your first time booking with me.
