Pet care experience
Being apart from your humans is hard, and my goal is to take what could be a stressful time for a pup and instead give them a fun, engaging and beneficial experience tailored to each dog's individual needs. I don't take for granted the responsibility that pet parents entrust me with, and you can rest assured that your pup will have a good and safe day - even if they are apart from their favorite people. Since starting Rover, I have cared for puppies, senior dogs, and cats. For puppies I make a point of giving them lots of exercise as well as doing some training for mental activity. I've successfully administered medication to senior dogs, as well as helping those with low mobility get around. I've been an animal person since day one, and because I wasn't allowed to have my own dog as a child I grew up with a variety of pets - snakes, cats, rabbits etc. I still loved dogs, and took every opportunity to pet-sit for friends and family. I finally got my own 10-week-old puppy in 2020 while I was attending FSU! I raised and trained her myself and she is now obedient, loyal, and knows 30+ tricks!
Reviews
Alison does a great job caring for my boys !
Alison was awesome and Bear had such a great stay. She sent pics and videos of all the fun they had together and was great about communicating. 11/10
We did not have a good experience with Alison. I called her 3 x to get her to answer after she was an hour late with no notice and she said she was on the way. Another half hour went by and I asked her again if she was still coming and she stated she had jsut gotten in a car accident. Then when I asked her later about future bookings she didn't respond and also didn’t show or cancel them. Not reliable. Poor communication and immature.
Alison took great care of Sully and made him feel right at home!

I live in a two story house with a fenced in backyard. The backyard consists of a large patio and a pool that has been closed up for the winter. There is plenty of space to run around out there, and I try to keep the dogs off of the pool cover as a precaution (though it can hold thousands of pounds). Since I have my own dog, the house has been puppy-proofed and is a very safe environment. We have a great neighborhood for walks, which I frequently take with the dogs. I sometimes work at my boyfriend's house during the day and will care for dogs there. I am the only one there until after 5 p.m. His is also a two story house and has a lawn that is spacious but not fenced in. There are trails right by his house that make for beautiful walks. The house itself is very dog-friendly. He has very little stuff so there's nothing that a dog could get into. *Note: I will ask before taking your dog anywhere including my boyfriend's house If I am caring for a pet in a clients home, I make sure to ask if there is anything unsafe the dog could get into. I'll generally take dogs on walks, but if you have a fenced in yard I'll likely spend a lot of time out there with them.

Information Alison M. would like to know about your pet
Medical concerns are always important to be aware of, as well as any aggressive or messy tendencies. It's important that if I am watching the dog in my house that I know how they will interact with my dog. She loves other dogs but is always apprehensive of them at first, so it's helpful for me to know their personality before I introduce them so that I can do it in the best way possible and they can go right to being best friends. If I’m walking your dog or something similar, I’d love to be able to bring my pup along if you and your dog would be comfortable with it. Of course, I will check with you before doing so.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs, letting them play with my dog, sitting with them, cuddling with them, and taking them on walks. The day's activities will be fully dependent on the individual dog's personality and energy level.

Availability
I am currently attending grad school online, so my schedule is wide open. My only structured/limiting responsibility at the moment is the care of my own pup.
