For three years my boyfriend, Charles and I, have regularly welcomed dogs to stay in our cosy 2 bedroom, North London flat with a balcony and shared garden. Our close proximity to Hampstead Heath and our work as freelance writer and musician enables us to offer dogs more walks, cuddles, play, runs, care and attention while providing a safe and happy home environment. We are so fond of our regular visitors and their owners often comment on how sprightly, cuddly or happy (and clean after a very muddy walk and a bath) they are after staying with us. Whether it is for day care, walks, a little vacation, or just for the night, we always ensure sure that your dog(s) feel welcomed, comfortable and happy! Our flat can accommodate a maximum of two dogs at a time (or one if it is a particularly large dog) and if they are allowed on the bed and the sofa then, of course, that's fine too. I grew up with dogs (and cats, ducks, geese!) Peggy, a Whippet-cross and Bess a black Labrador. Since then friends, friends-of-friends and parents' friends have had their dogs stay with us. Our most regular dog is Louis, a jackapoo who is with us from 3-14 days at a time throughout the year. Our other regulars include: a Cockapoo called Agi, a Miniture Schnauzer called Suzi, a Labrador service-dog called Sweeney and a puppy Cockapoo called Billy. We've also welcomed Whippets, Deerhounds, Miniature Pinschers, Shiba Inus, Jackapoos and a Border Collie to walk/play/stay with us. Every dog is different and needs different care: some are fine off-leash on the Heath, run around for hours and like making friends while others are a little more shy and prefer short walks on leads and more rest at home. We'll take into account all the dogs needs and are able to adapt to their personalities and individual needs.
