I adopted two dogs - a free-spirited basset hound, and a clumsy black lab & basset hound mix - from the Humane Society of St. Paul, MN 11 years ago. We relocated to San Diego shortly after my basset hound was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, and I spent the following 6 months providing exceptional end-of-life care (including a cross-country road trip and home-cooked gourmet dinners!). I now have only my lab/basset mix. Although he is a senior, he is very spry; we spend most of our time taking long walks & exploring new neighborhoods. I am an active person and would love to share my affinity for long walks with your fur kids. I am also a compassionate and patient person with a special place in my heart for senior dogs who require extra attention (and shorter slower walks, or just a companion to sit with them at the park for some fresh air and sunshine).
