Pups arrive happy & leave happier!

Pet care experience

Use my code ALISHA13790 to get $20 off your first Rover booking :D Hi there! I’m in a veterinary technician program and have experience as a veterinary assistant in the ER, have been a dependable and trusted walker and sitter for several years, and have worked in doggie daycare and boarding in most departments. Rain or shine, any time of the day, we'll have a great time. Giving you peace of mind while you’re away is just as important to me as keeping your pets safe, healthy, and happy. Full time pet care provider! I am home the majority of the day outside of dog walks and check-ins. If your dog is social, with your approval they're more than welcome to come on group walks and hikes. While the pups are relaxing I'm here with them working on my BSc (Zoology at SFSU!) and RVT courses, and making sure they have a clean house and yard to romp around in. I have help from my family at home, they're a major influence for my love and passion for animals. We've always had pets and have owned many large, medium, and small breeds, as well as reptiles. They're always excited when we have dogs staying with us and are always coming to play with them. Your pets are our family while they're here :)

Alisha did a great job watching both of our dogs. They were well taken cared of and they had a great time.

As always Alisha was great! Our flight was cancelled and we were delayed 4 days but Alisha stepped up and took care of Milo when we needed her the most! Her consistency and reliability is unmatched!

All precautions are taken to prevent the preventable. Also, our pets don’t speak! Body language and recognizing normal vs. abnormal behavior is of the utmost importance. I watch for any cues and triggers that could cause an issue (none to date, and I do all that I can to keep it that way). Positive reinforcement, energy redirection, understanding dog body language, observing good vs. not-so-good play styles, breed-specific behavior, socialization, etc... I always take a mindful, cautious, and observant approach with every visit. There are other dogs in my home, my dog August is extremely friendly and they will be spending quite a bit of time together, as I will treat your pup as my own! :) Theo is a 13 year old chihuahua, is deaf, and spends 90% of the day sleeping buried under a blanket. I have boarded dogs that are not social and prefer to be away from other dogs, or just need a quiet space to spend some time. While they might hear other dogs in the house, I have had no issue with keeping them separate and moving them between areas of the house and/or exercising them thus far. Everyone has been a comfy, happy camper and we are a dog-loving household, there’s absolutely no shortage of human love here. I have plenty of toys, blankets, bowls, and treats, but you’re more than welcome to provide your own or something that is yours that may soothe your pup as it reminds them of home. **Boardings for 7+ days will include a free bath on the day before going home (no breed or weight restriction for this)**

Information Alisha A. would like to know about your pet

What makes your pet happy? What are their favorite types of treats? Does they have any behavioral triggers? Allergies? Are you working on training that needs to be reinforced during our time together? Does it take your pup a while to warm up to new people? If so, a meet and greet is probably best before a booking :)

A typical day

Let’s explore the neighborhood! Are they a chiller? Let's have a short walk with unlimited tummy rubs and ear scratchies after. Outdoorsy and full of energy? Let’s go on a jog or a hike, I know some pretty great spots! I play scent games, ball games, tug games, all the games. Keeping them stimulated and engaged is key to having a tired and happy pup by the end of the day. We have lick mats, treat dispensing toys, they can watch Dog TV if they're into that, if they like it, I love it.

Availability

Currently I'm not in clinical rotations so I have the flexibility to stay home the majority of the day. They will have full access to the backyard and we take walks around the neighborhood multiple times per day. Our neighborhood is very safe and we're located not far from parks, trails, and hike spots. If your dog is on a particular schedule, tell me all the details! I'm more than happy to accommodate your and your pet's needs.
